Macklin I'm the best ha

You cannot differ with that Darren and Martin seem good guys , but macklin is full of himself .
Comments he makes is so full of himself. If you search the Internet (you tube) Martinez said he was the easiest fight he as had and it came out of his mouth .and as for selling Madison square out , don't think so it was the smaller arena at the side of the garden . I can't hide the fact I don't like him he as a big heart yes but isn't versatile the way he says . He crys about his defeats he was robbed by sturm, he put martinez down , come on everyone knows it wasn't a knock down , Darren when he fought Martinez said the better man won he paid him too much respect , when Murray drew too sturm he said yes in the uk he could of won it but no point crying as he new he wouldn't get it if he didn't rip it from him. As for Golovkin - Mathew you rejected it because he would destroy you and the nose is a easy way out , remember these quotes You will never fight Golovkin - fact !
It just annoys me too see his craftiness
2 genuine other lads and him , let's hope all of the, get it on , I do think barker and Murray could happen but that's it

Any man who steps in the ring, putting his life on the line for our entertainment can be as arrogant or as cocky as he likes as far as I'm concerned. Boxing would be boring if everyone was humble, honest and likeable.

IMO he seems decent, respectable. Martinez is talking BS as he had a rough ride against Macklin and he was only a few rounds up on two cards and drawing on another. So easy fight my ass! He deserves a title for the way he attacked Strum... that was epic!

No chance, macklin gave martinez and way better fight than barker. he had that look in his eyes, he really thought he could win and gave it a real go where as barker just looked as though he was there to go 12 rounds and dint really go for it. Mackin can definetely say he gave everything he had but came up short, don't think barker can say that

Agreed Rio - Macklin is an animal. It's a bit like he's the Joe Frazier of the division and Martinez is Ali. He could've won if he connect Chavez style in the 11th, that would have out him about level, then won that last but unfortunetly Martinez is class and it wasn't to be.

martinez was having a nice little sparr with macklin till the feet got tangled together and wa ruled a knockdown to macklin then after that martinez got serious and the inevetable happened, martinez was carrying macklin in that fight. murray was more ripped off against sturm than macklin and barker put up a better performance against martinez than macklin, dont blow your own trumpet son you either wanna fight the 2 best in your country or you wanna go and beat up a few journey men and say youve earned a world title shot. yes macklin has been in good fights but c'mon he isnt a world class fighter so lets not get wrapped up in his fake irish accent

At middleweight, he is definitely up there. Martinez is a level above everyone else but Macklin gave him his toughest fight since his step up to 160. You're talking crap saying Martinez "carried" Macklin. Martinez is used to fighting at his own pace and controlling the fight, Macklin didn't allow him to do this. It was Macklin's stamina that let him down more than anything. In case you have forgot, Barker - Macklin was signed but Barker cried off citing an injury. At this moment in time Barker needs Macklin more than the opposite. Barker does a lot of talking but when push comes to shove he shies away.

hey im not talking crap, watch the fight again and watch after macklin thought he won the lottery off martinez gloves touchin the floor and it being ruled a knockdown, martinez turned it on after that. all this "gave him his hardest fight" crap is doing my nut in martinez was never hurt, never in trouble and looked comfortable so i dont know were the hardest fight sh1te comes from. as for barker vs macklin, yes it was signed and look what happened to barker,he was out for ages with his injury and lost his title,at present barker does need macklin more than the other way round but what about murray? why wont macklin fight murray? i know why, cause murray is a different ball game to barker and will show macklin up. just my opinion :OhYes:

I've said for years that Barker was overrated and that Macklin would stop him if they fought.

Three years ago, even two, that suggestion was laughed at by some on here. Their number seem to be diminishing. Barker would be better off focusing on getting a fight with Lee rather that getting his ass handed to him by Macklin.

I tell you what cracked me up, Barker and Murray moaning that Macklin is robbing the British public of great fights.

Sat side by side why don't Barker and Murray face each other. Believe me when one of them wins a world title, them fights will happen. It's just too easy to blame Macklin at the moment

A lot of opinions here are based on nationality. It has to he said.

There isn't much between all three of them. Not one of them will hand one of the others ass to them etc.

Macklin may have beaten the best opposition. He has also lost to worse opposition too.

Personally I think Murray could be the best of the three but I'm waiting to see how he goes against Martinez.

Can't see any of the three winning a world title.

I think its almost a certainty that one will win a world title, in fact Macklin should already have one. Do you not think any of the three could beat Quillan or Geale?

I don`t think Macklin would beat Quillan and he`d struggle with Geale.

After Andy Lee`s showing at the weekend, he`d be better off challenging him for an all Irish showdown. Gotta love Macklin`s plastic paddy accent these days.

If it was anyone else that posted that I'd agree, but no, that really is what Dan is like sober.
If he connect with a lucky hook in the 11th like Chavez did in the 12th and won the last round, he would've lost a SD 121-122, 121-122, 123-120. It is boxing and Macklin does have the power to do that, weither you like him or not. That's a one point win for Martinez and nothing like a sparring match and better than anyone before him has done in the lasy 5 years or so. Barker did okay but was much further behind and was in survival mode, at least Macklin went out on his shield. Even the German public thought Macklin was ripped off against Strum whereas everybody though Murray was a lot closer

Yep, about 4 1/2 years ago if we're being technical. But y'know what I mean... since Martinez has been dominating as the outright number one in the divison (belts aside)

Was it really that long ago? It still feels like a relatively recent fight to me.
It was 2009 so 4ish years ago don't know which month

The rematch was over 2 years ago now

I'm waiting to see how Murray goes against Martinez but no I don't think they would beat them two fighters.

Sturm had a bit of luck against Macklin and Murray but with time these two fights seem bigger robberies than they actually were.
