Oh, and there's no way Martinez is 26!! He looks older than my Dad.
Breaking news, he's 28.

Re: Frampton v Martinez RBR
Frampton seems to have stopped Martinez' progress with his work last round, has maybe gotten his respect finally. Definite hesitation from Martinez coming in now.

Frampton seems to be taking control , now has distance between him and Martinez, and picking him off on the way in. Martinez looks like he may be taking a breather to me.

Martinez just shook his arms out, think he might have tired himself in the 4th, Carl's round easy, though quieter round.

That leaping left through the middle has caught Frampton flush a couple of times.

Expecting a surge from Martinez in the 5th, think he was marshalling his energy a bit there. Cut doesn't look too bad.

26...28...makes no difference, he looks about 40!Old bones Ian wrote:The Dark Destroyer wrote:Unbelievable he's younger than me, must have lived a hard life.milpool wrote:One round apiece.

Re: Frampton v Martinez RBR
sorry 6th round. Martinez seems to fighting more defensively, now, thinking about his work more, which should suit frampton. Carl beginning to line him up with shots now. Pushes Martinez back for the first time. Frampton seems to have weathered the early storm. Quiet so far. Carl nice one two, but Martinez lands looping right hook. LH martinez just misses. Martinez jabbing now too. Martinez slips four shots, Carlk not very effecitve, takes two body shots, Carl seems to be backpedalling now. Looks like he was taking a breather and also working out a more effective strategy.
10-9 martinez.

Re: Frampton v Martinez RBR
Martinez rushes out like a bull, looks to apply pressure, Frampoton is holding. Trading body shots in close. Martinez more effective and throwing more shots. Seems to be focussing on the body. Nice counter left hook Frampton. right hook Frampton. Frampton timing him well now. Trade body shots. Carl standing ground more now, and seems to be holding his own. Left hook Jab frampton, some educated work here, Martinez missing more. Getting a little untidy in close, but Martinez seems to be losing exchanges. Overhand right left Martinez, left hook frampton. Frampton in control more, but both men having success.
10-9 frampton, fight starting to become a war of attrition.
