Guaranteed war. Who takes it? I'd take Marvin.

I don't see a war, Marvin would put a beating on him. If Czyz survived he could make it interesting when Marvin gassed, but I think the ref steps in before then.

C'mon Saad, Bobby will tell us how he would out think his opponent with his "MENZA" credentials.

Marvin would be stumped at the academic altercation Bobby would throw his way.

I never saw Marvin quickly demolish top comp. He beat many, but even Parlov took 10 rounds. I think this one sees both hurt and plenty of trading before a mid-rounds stoppage for Johnson.

This fight would resemble Bobby against Hamsho, with a worse beating for Bobby.

Bobby had guts and some skills but in this fight he would be backed up, and beaten into submission. Johnson fought MONSTERS at the light heavyweight level and held his own for the most part. He ran out of gas against the best but this wouldn't happen against Bobby. Johnson by mid to late round stoppage.

Il Duce wrote:Marvin Johnson, 5' 10 1/2" southpaw -
* Straight ahead bomber, with a crushing left-hand - and an underrated/under-used right hand.

Bobby Czyz , 5' 10" orthodox-stance
* An offensive-minded plodder - who could deliver hard combinations with power.

At their peak, Marvin would have over-whelmed Bobby by a TKO 5, much like in his bout with
Bobby Douglas back in November 1977. Marvin would just keep throwing bombs, and though
Bobby had a good chin, his defense wasn't as tight as it should have been. Could see the
Referee stopping the bout with Bobby on the ropes getting hit with too many of Marvin's
overhand left 'Sunday Punches'.

A possible 'show-down' could have occured in early 1986. Marvin at (Age 32) against
Bobby at (Age 24).

Should program this bout into the computer,
That bout (the unification) was what I was thinking of; these two could've fought but didn't. Johnson fought wars with Emibe and Stuart around that time.

I consider Williams top comp, and I consider Williams I a war.

Would have been interesting for a few rounds, but Johnson would probably stop Czyz in the middle rounds. Have to give Czyz a "puncher's chance", but not much more than that. Johnson didn't have the best stamina or chin, but had some good skills and had good power. He was simply was a better fighter than Czyz and usually beat him.

I consider Johnson superior to Williams and I consider Williams/Czyz to be an competitive ass whipping.

I only had Williams up a point at the time of the stoppage (including the KD's).
