Truscott pulled out, fight has been offerd to Kris .Kris is in good shape and near the weight so has taken it. We believe this is a winnable fight, and look forward to it.

Ben Jones is a very good fighter it seems that Kris is getting fed to the Wolves here.. Could end up in the journeyman mould if he loses to Jones the Cacacae. I hope he proves me wrong and wins but I think this could end badly.. Good luck and if anything he just shows what a true competitor that he is will get in the ring with almost anyone

I agree with you Davie, not a good fight for kris at this stage after some hard fights, should be looked after more imo I think his management team see him as a journeyman already or this fight wouldn't have been accepted?

I think badget is a live underdog in this fight. He will be confident after beating an unbeaten fighter in his last. I'd imagine super feather would be more comfortable for him - how did a guy as tall as him get down 122?!?!
Jones from the little I've seen looks decent but by no means a world beater.

Good luck kris!

I agree that Hughes is a live underdog. He'll be more comfortable at the weight and as far as I know was already in the gym. An exciting fight awaits I reckon...

Yes super feather is a better weight for kris,I'd still like to have seen him get a few 6 rounders under his belt for his confidence, who's training him now he's been about the block a bit since he left my gym?

Jones is better than Richard Comney who blew Kris away.. I agree with Billy he needed a few more rounds under his belt.. The Irish lad in Edinburgh may have been undefeated but he was very average... The good thing about boxing is you always have a chance but if he could make Super Feather in a week when he was due to fight at lightweight next I would say he should be fighting at a lower weight

Good luck Badger, Although I dont think a weeks notice for a european title is a good thing but nothing to loose, everything to gain:)

Doesnt matter if its a WBO,EBU or a KFC title, Surely its 12 rounds? which I dont think that someone at a weeks notice is ready to go into a 12 round fight when hes not scheduled to fight till April:)I wish him the best but my prediction is if hes not knocked out, he will be pulled out later due to being exhausted:)

What a great fight that was! Quite a lot of sneaky headlocks from the scotsman but Ben put him in his place nicely with a score of 119-109. Well done to both fighters for putting up a spectacular show and i hope to see Ben progress further very soon!

Many thanks To Jay, Kaz and Charlie at assasin promotions for their hospitality and friendliness during our stay.
No complaints, Ben was just too strong for Kris at this weight. he reminded me of a young Scott Harrison who just morphed into a different body in the 24-30 hours from the weigh in till fight time.
