I take your point, Mickey. I am fully aware of Sykes' various habits but they would sanitise it, and a good film could still be made based on the book: his release from jail and rise to fight for the British title, getting involved in various scrapes and escapades along the way etc, I think it would work. You are, however, probably right in saying Sykes doesn't deserve a film - it would probably only glamorise his life and gloss over all the pain and suffering he caused.

Not really. Paul was in a world of his own most of the time and it comes across in the book. Not your typical hardman book, but not exactly thought provoking.
I can't believe no one has said Big George Foreman. What a film that would be so many ups and downs he was so hated then he came back everyone loved him and he became world champ but for me I heard the story about how he got the George Foreman grill deal.....WOW!
