i remember reading "the years of the locust" by jon hotten which is the true story (apparantly) of american heavyweight tim anderson and his manager rick parker. this guy anderson is now doing life in a state prison for parkers murder. is anderson still doing bird? there was no parole in his sentence. it was quite a good read and i remember feeling that anderson was hard done by and should not have to end his days behind bars.
anybody know anything more?

The above link should take you to an interesting article on Anderson, who is still inside, and there are contact details on the page where you can write to Anderson himself if you want. A very sad story really. Very well written book, Im surprised it hasnt been made into a film already.
