Helenius beats Price, but loses to Fury and Povetkin.

Bollocks, price beats all of them and fairly easily you heard it here first, only 1 that has half s chance is Wlad but I can see him getting stopped in 6-10

I love Pricey.

This sort of nonsense does him no favours though.

Let's see how the Thompson fight goes

Yes, I'm fine thanks.

Helenius has a good chin and hits very hard. Style wise, he's a nightmare for Price.

I didn't hear it here first, I was out in Liverpool a few weeks back and half a dozen people (at least) said pretty much what you wrote - they all said "you heard it here first" as well. I hope you're all correct but I personally think it's too early to tell. How many fighters have we seen who look sensational on the front foot only to come a cropper when they're moved up to a level beyond cannon fodder and have to deal with legitimate incoming?
:TU:

Price is the kind of guy who due to his main attributes (height, reach, technique and power) will look superb against alot of guys up until a certain point, when he will get banged out, IMO.

I like him alot but, although it pains me to say it, he really should model his career on Wlad. He's got the same attributes and I suspect faults. The division is so weak though that if he boxes to maximise his attributes and minimise his weakness that could easily be enough to be a fairly long term champion.

The first minute againt Skelton suggested that he didn't like pressure or being forced back. Skelton didn't have enough left (and probably never had) to take advantage but I suspect others could.

Helenius ain't all he's made out to be - Del Boy stung him on several occasions and he isn't a big puncher. He's slow and predictable, although I do agree he could stretch Price. Fury might fight in a roll the dice kind of way that I could see unsettling Price. I think he might be more of a natural 'fighter' than Price but he can leave himself open and a solid right hand on the chin would do him. Povetkin is shot to pieces, his fight vs Huck proved that, he's a ko waiting to happen these days.

Pulev is the prospect I would back to go furthest for longest based on what I've seen so far. Not a huge puncher but tough as old boots, good technically and seems to have a very good temperament (sometimes an underlook quality in a heavy)

Helenius has a little advantage too. He has already beaten Price.

Nope, not at all. Didnt know he was that easy to KO TBH. If he had someone like Arreola's chin then yes he'd prob beat em all but now I know he can't even take a half hard punch

Must admit I was one of those who said 'bollocks' about this being a 50-50 fight. Wlad knows best!

x2

I never bet on the fight but the boxers always know, he has fought and sparred both of them to suss them out. Boxing is 100% hype before the fight and 100% "I told you so" after the fight!

Wlad talks shit! 50-50 fights don't end by KO via n arm punch with no leverage in the 2nd round!

His zero will go pretty soon in my opinion - don't see a long term world title holder like a lot
are saying on here.
It's funny how a guy can be under pressure and look uncomfortable for about 30 seconds, and this is enough for people to decide he is a KO waiting to happen. He came out slow and Skelton jumped on him. Then he warmed up and knocked the guy out. Wach had Wladamir in more trouble in that one round than Skelton had Price. He wasn't competitive otherwise. Obviously we'll see how he does against Thompson, but who do you think is the 'pressure fighter' to take out Price? Chisora? Arreola?

I dont think Thompson is the guy to do it.
I don't think he was in trouble at any time v Skelton, and finished him in the second, in stead of looking for him to fail, you should be glad we have a genuine heavyweight contender :bag: :bag:

A lot of people were underestimating Thompson. He's dangerous with those clubbing shots.

To be fair Davie, I was in a minority but there were others saying the same thing but if anyone had
checked out Prices amateur career - when he stepped up, he was very very vunerable so though
I didn't think Thompson would be the one to do it - and in the manner he did it - I thought if he had
fought a Travis Walker, Alex Leapai or Bernard Stiverne type of opponent then he was toast - but big kudos to Thompson - he went in there and proved me and a few others on here right.

I don't know how you had Helenius winning that fight for the life of me BUT - he is tough and he
is a big unit with decent power. He has an excellent chance of grabbing one of the alphabet
belts when the Klitsckhos retire, which is what they are doing now with their marking time - he is a big draw in Finland and is better than the shitcanning he has had over the past year.

Because I'm really good at "method judging". I knew what they'd be looking for based on their history, the title at stake etc. I'm the Marlon Brando of scoring fights :TU:

I pissing about, clearly.

But I am a "method judge".
But in reality, with proper judging, he didn't win that fight, not even close

I think 50/50 was about right (I didn't think that in advance; I was sure Price would steamroll him). If Price lands his big right cleanly on anyone, they're going down, and it appears that if anyone else lands even half a right on Price, he's going down. That's pretty 50/50.

FWIW, I think there's something in the stuff about where the punch landed. I think Skelton lander harder than Thompson, and clean to the head, so I think the level of obvious disorientation was more to do with where he got hit and the punctured eardrum. Certainly makes me worry about his punch resistance though!
