I've said for years I would love that ! Not sure how the fury relationship would go down though, I believe Frankie is a good pal of David price

Mick has Degale and Eubank jr who publicly hate each other.

Cant see it being an issue.

Price and Fury are building their fight, anyone can see that - they dont actually 'hate' each other.

I genuinely believe Gavin can't make 140 I think he burnt himself out making lightweight. He won the worlds weight drained which is remarkable.
15 in 4 years ain't bad &. The fact he started at l. Welter has stalled his progress.
I fear Gavin will become impatient & switch off & get him self ready last minute for contests & won't fullfill his potential.

What makes you feel he may become impatient ?

As far as defending the British title goes: Lynes is the third best opponent after Hatton and Vassell.
he was last seen in a boxing ring vomiting after junior witter had beaten him for the second time

It wasn't unusual for Lynes to vomit in his fights, he's done it before several times I think.

He is still one of the top British fighters at welterweight.

1. Kell Brook - Fighting Devon Alexander
2. Frankie Gavin
3. Denton Vassell
4. Matthew Hatton - Fighting Chris van Heerden
5. Junior Witter - Already beat him
6. Colin Lynes
7. Lee Purdy - Fighting Carson Jones

Is it harsh to say hes been biggest dissapointment amateur to pro since audley? Really thought frankie was destined for greatness after the gold in worlds, which is widely accepted as harder to win than olympics.

See mark thompson called him out on twitter, whether people think frankie should be aiming higher or not, a fight against thompson would tell us where frankie is right now. Thompson without a promoter so easy to make too.

When you clean up & beat who's around at domestic level, you can aim higher.
All this pick & choose philosophy fans come up on here with is totally unrealistic.
Look at bellew British & commonwealth & a world title challenge & now another eliminator & if he loses this he will struggle.

You never had a rant online or even in public and regretted letting everyone know how you feel?

At the end of the day this is a BOXING forum and Frankie is entitled to have his personal life kept private.

As benji just said though, if you want your private life kept private, don't put it on Twitter!! Amazingly simple stuff, sometimes I despair of this generation that is just a few years below my own.

I am 31 and was always taught, don't air your dirty linen in public. It seems certain people now have been brought up with the exact opposite values!!

End of the day life is hard, we all have problems with different things, be they lifestyle such as drinking, going out with mates too much, or girlfriends, unplanned kids, whatever, no-one's perfect and very few people have a simple, easy life.

It is those people who can use the negatives as a motivation rather than an excuse, that ultimately prevail.

A Fight Against Thompson Would Be A Good Indicator Of Where He Is At???? Frankie Great Skills,Be Good To See A Strong Rough Tough Fighter In There. If Frankie Won And Stopped Thompson That Would Be A Big Statement.Would Be Plenty Of Interest If Made.Get It On Lads.

It isn't anyone elses business; he's a good boxer who seems a bit small for the weight class. Thompson is a very decent lad and a good welter. Frankie is a very good boxer but things are not going as they should for him. He'd do well at light welter if he'd need to be on a diet all the time; the lads the weight up are monsters coming down.
