Holt seems to box well for the first half of the rounds but can't keep it up and then Peterson ups the ante.

I think Peterson nicked that round.

Good performance from Lamont Peterson. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Danny Garcia if he can get another solid win at 140.

Well another one of "Broner's friends" just won, so that's one less guy he may fight...

Garcia-Peterson sounds great to me. Two common opponents in Khan and Holt now.

If Garcia beats Zab and Cheaterson, he'll have defeated two of my least favorite fighters.

I agree, and honestly I give him some benefit of the doubt in that regard. If he fought Khan again I'd still root for him because "Khan's Army" is annoying as hell. Although an eventual Khan-Broner bout would be enticing

Apparently Rafael doesn't consider Rios a top guy at 140, considering he just said GBP has all the top guys there.

I rooted for him the first time, but I'd be behind Khan all the way in the rematch.
He flunked a drug test. I don't pay any attention when these guys start feeding us excuses after that.

Glad Peterson won. I think he is a good dude, hard worker and competitive fighter. We didn't need Holt vs Matthysse, etc. 140 looks like a powder keg with a short, burning fuse.

After a slow start Peterson looked good, he warmed up and got in the thick of the action.
Holt had a fairly bright start and seemed to be holding his own after 3 rounds, but one or two punches seemed to derail him.
Peterson's body attack was particularly crucial, toward the end of the fight it looked like Peterson was waiting for Holt to topple.
The knockdowns seemed legitimate and Peterson finished the fight very well.

He's the IBF champ. Let's get it on next.
I could go for that. Peterson would be an interesting match-up for Garcia.
