He doesn't need to be "back on side". If people don't like him, they'll show up to watch him get knocked out.The Dark Destroyer wrote:He should leave it alone, he could get a lot back on side if he showed a bit of class about this.keithmoonhangover wrote:Fury quote from Facebook.... Re: Tonight's Boxing
I haven't seen the KO but it sounds like it was a bad one. Really thought Price would do the business beforehand.
Does this rule him out of any future title contention, or can he still be a world champion with careful matchmaking?

Re: Tonight's Boxing
Hatton was chinny against the very best fighters in the world, towards the end of a career where he defended with his face-first for a long time. Hatton was NOT chinny against 41 year old fatties early in his career. Massive difference and very offensive to what Hatton achieved.jonnyyorkshu wrote:Do you watch fights or just read records?Adamj1987 wrote:yes as he has been KO'd 3 times and been down lotsjonnyyorkshu wrote:

Would you say WK is chinny?
price has been stopped once and down once.
ricky hatton is 2kos and down twice i think (his comeback was a body shot so ive not counted) but not considered chinny
show me footage of Price taking a good shot and i will take calling him chinny back.
Oh and Hatton was caught on the button twice,Price was caught on the ear/side of the head with a half arsed arm punch.
Re: Tonight's Boxing
I agree - silence from Fury at this stage would have a much more positive impact.

Gutted for Price. He looks chinnier than Khan.

watch lots not as many recently as i;d like but i have other things taking my time up. in all honesty i cant as he hasnt taken too many on the button so i cant offer up proof to the contrary other than how i view it.
and wasnt the mayweather KO a hook to the side of rickys head and not on the button like vs pac cant remember the amount of power behind it as its been along time since i watched it but was proba a full bloodied shot[/quote]
So in your own admittance he has taken 1 descent shot as a pro and been KO`d,we shall agree to disagree cause Audley is on soon and YES HE CAN!!!

if you were responding to me i didnt say anywhere he was chinny i used his record as a comparison where hes isnt considered but price is that is all i used it to show chinnyness is subjective and viewed differently by otherTheCobra wrote:

Re: Tonight's Boxing
Price has the potential to be MUCH chinnier than Khan.
Khan has stood up to some big bombs (Maidana especially), Price has been on the receiving end of one shot and he went straight over.

Re: Tonight's Boxing
Can you lose a fight and still be champ? Both Klits did. The issue is more whether Pricey can learn to avoid or hold a shot well enough to make it to the top.

Re: Tonight's Boxing
Price's power should have seen him to the fringe of contention. he just hasnt got the chin or the time left to improve on his defence or style.
personally i think world hopes are over.
maybe euro left. and some domestic scraps.

Thought the shot looked harder than most are giving it credit for - even though it didn't travel very far.
Even so, the way Price's body was convulsing after he rose was a chilling sight and it certainly doesn't encourage optimism in his future chances at the the highest level.

I think thats unfair. The Heavyweight division is unique and usually when a shot lands it's goodnight. I hope he comes back better and smarter.Horse wrote:P4P Price looks chinnier than Khan and Maccarinelli. The Dark Destroyer wrote:It doesn't matter.
I just wanted him to be tested, he was, now I want to see him comeback and do well.

Agreed, but he has the physical attributes to protect himself and fight sensible. Wlad suffered the same fate fighting Corrie Sanders and came back all the better for it.Horse wrote:I hope Price can comeback and do well as well, but his chin seems to be very weak.ThereByTheGrace wrote:I think thats unfair. Tyson Fury has went through the same change, but he got up and took the shots. Now he's changed his style to avoid doing the same thing in future.
Re: Tonight's Boxing
Wlad didn't get one-punched; Sanders had him down 4 times and he kept on getting up until the ref stepped in. The fact that Price was chinned by a single off-balance shot to the ear is very worrying, as you cannot avoid getting hit by absolutely everything once you step up to championship level.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Agreed, but he has the physical attributes to protect himself and fight sensible. It's like people have never watched Wlad, isn't it?
I don't like the fella but Sanders had to bounce him off the deck like a basketball before the end. & they were fornicate-off get-down-mofo bombs from a proven world-class puncher, not a great big flabby bloke who took rounds to stop Owen Beck.
