I still think Price would beat Fury. Pajkic dropped Fury. Neither of them are in the same league as the Klitschko's. David Haye would beat both Price and Fury without many problems imo. Fury did box well against Kevin Johnson and showed discipline. Would he be disciplined and actually box against Price? He's too hard to tell. Fury looks really amateurish at times.

Price vs Dereck Chisora is the only fight I can see next. Would be a great fight for both fighters and will answer some questions about both of em.
I agree with most of your post; Fury has boxed southpaw v Rogan though and has shown he can box to a plan- without going for broke. Fury beat Chisra pretty easy and Chisora doesn't scream after him again.

True, Fury can box well at times, but then he can look amateurish at times. Chisora lost the Fury fight on the scales. It didn't look like he did any training what so ever. Not saying he would have beaten Fury, but it could have been a much more interesting fight.

An in-shape Chisora vs Price will be very interesting!

If a result happens goes a certain way then it happens - if British boxing's future was
on the shoulders of David Price then we are in deep shit.

I think its Fury hate when people say Chisora lost on the scale,Chirsoa looked scared to death when he fought Tyson ,he never once tried his bully boy tactics with Fury like he did Vitali ,Chisora cant adapt and gets out boxed by longer men , thats where he lost to Fury an Vitali.

Dereck was 20 pounds lighter against Vitali than he was against Fury. That's a lot of extra weight to carry around the ring. Dereck was much more active against Vitali. He faught well against Vitali. Being that much weight over against Fury. How active could he have been? He clearly didn't train at all for the Fury fight.

Again, Fury may still have beaten him, but we don't really know 100% because Dereck didn't train and was in bad shape.

Can't kick Fury for that though; that's at the Chisora door.

:TU: I agree. Fury beat the man in front of him. Simple as that really.

Would like to see an in-shape Dereck vs Price now!

haha fury is still a level below price...just because fury hasnt lost yet means nothing. This was a freak occurance for price. Has nothing to do with his chin.He was hit on the ear...which fucks up your balance. He lost big deal. Any heavyweight in the world would have gone done from that. It was an opportunist punch. Like picking zero on the roulette and it coming in. He can learn nothing from this
9 times out of 10 the punch doesnt land. Tonight it did. And so what, no big deal..rematch...school the oldtimer and then this will be seen as no more than a glitch.

Price has the goods..just tonight was one of those nights :)

Put it this way...atleast fury will fight will fight him now

Am sure you'll be as understanding if Fury gets wrecked by someone he's supposed to beat easy.

It is a big deal really - boxing is a 2 way contact sport, Price doesn't react well to hard punches and was beat by someone looking toward retirement. There's no amount of gloss will put a good shine on a KO loss like that.

yeah it was a bad knockdown like...ill give you that...and yes me and me mate did say "if he has is getting knocked out like that, by a 41 year old hasbeen, what would wlad do to him"...it really was a khan situation...I dont think he has been exposed has having a weak chin though....that hit him on the ear...he didnt half go down though...haha but he will come back from this. It is in my eyes only a glich..he will win a world title...this isnt an audley harrison or a danny williams we have here. This is the future world champ. But i admit there is a doubt....once you know someone cant take a punch then it is a bit...hard to gloss over. But I dont think this will happen again. I mean this happened to wlad, lennox, haye.........and it didnt do them any harm.

Price has the advantage of height, reach and sheer size but does not have the resiliance to cope with getting hit hard. I hope that they make the Fury bout, it'll be good. (Price comes across as very level headed and likable but no way will he win a world title).

Look at the way Fury and Price fought their last fights. Against Johnson, Fury didn't take a risk and stunk the place out, but got the win. Price tried to get stuck into Thompson too early and paid the price.

That doesn't mean Fury beats Price, it means Fury had a better gameplan. It also might mean we will se a cautious Price in future.

If Price becomes a defence minded boxer he loses his advantages and invites a puncher to try for it.

Yeah you have a point actually, it was nice to see price just dealing with people and looking like the real deal. But the manner of the defeat looked bad. And i worry how he will come back from this. But this has put him back 18months in terms of the heavy weight world title picture. I think tyson has been steered well. But his defeat could just be around the corner. Id have loved to have seen furys twitter haha the second price went down haha. As you can probably tell iam not taking the loss too serious. Because in the grand plan it is but a glitch haha. But very good points made...could he be the heavy weight amir khan?

After sleeping on this. Price should rematch thompson, beat him and then move on.
Thompson had nothing to trouble price. And landed a lucky blow, had nothing to do with skill.

And thanks to some of the cretins showing us up on live tele. Booing the national anthem? ridiculous!
Tony Thompson was respectful throughout all the interviews in the runup to the bout. And we do that?

That was a poor poor shot to be laid out from

Showed no experience getting up like that from the shot either. Take a knee and get up at 8 and see what's what. Getting straight back up is always going to be a problem

Taking a knee and waiting till 8 before getting up is all good and well when you've actually got a clue of your whereabouts.

It was a poor shot to stop him I agree. It didn't land clean and it was delivered with Thompson's weaker hand too wasn't it? He could have taken a knee till 30, there was only one fight that way was going after Thomspon discovered how chinny Price was.

Did anyone on here actually predict this result?

That does not include all the people who said it would happen sooner or later.

Its one of those "he lost but he actually won". In the sense that now, people who wouldn't fight him before, will want to fight him now.
He should get back in the ring as soon as possible.

As I have said before, fury's loss is in the post.

On watching it again, i agree that maybe he did get up a little too quick. But that may have been down to the shock and embarrasment of getting knocked down infront of your home fans.

David Price is an intelligent, level headed guy and will definitely come back from this.

And we all put best on round 1,3,4,5, and i laughed when i saw the odds for thompson scoring a ko haha
The bookie always wins :(

The big question is can be take a shot and the answer is plan no the shot what hit him didn't look s big one wasn't on the bottom yes some shots hurt when ya get hit in the side of the head but what if that shot hit him on the chin he prob be still there now I like price as a fighter and person but can't help but think he went from a million dollar man to a 100 k man with one bat
