Khan Sheffield April 27th
After reading in the papers that Amir is set for a bout against Julio Diaz in Sheffield on 27th April, i was wondering if there is any chance of Alexander-Brook ending up on this? Johnny Nelson and a few others have hinted big news is in the pipeline regarding Kell and with Golden Boy and Sky involved with this show it surely makes sense. Sheffield is a notoriously hard sell and Khan has found it hard work before, even in the Manchester Arena which is close to his home. Alexander-Brook would fill it.

Think Mcdonell be on the undercard. Will Khan be on sky>?mickey1975 wrote:After reading in the papers that Amir is set for a bout against Julio Diaz in Sheffield on 27th April, i was wondering if there is any chance of Alexander-Brook ending up on this? I would have thought so. His last one was. McDonnell sells a few but it will still be half empty.leforge wrote:Think Mcdonell be on the undercard. Can't see it mickey. The speculation around Kell seems to be 18 May in Washington.mickey1975 wrote:After reading in the papers that Amir is set for a bout against Julio Diaz in Sheffield on 27th April, i was wondering if there is any chance of Alexander-Brook ending up on this? Re: Khan Sheffield April 27th
So I have read. It just seems ridiculous that Golden Boy are promoting in his home town a few weeks before and putting it on. They must be desperate to keep home advantage. In that case, I would worry about Brook if it goes to the cards.Pugilist-specialist wrote:Can't see it mickey. Breidis Prescott would love to come back to England and box Khan again - any chance of that happening?
Re: Khan Sheffield April 27th
What about a triple header Sky box office?
Khan v Diaz
Alexander v brook

This shows where Khan is at moving up to welter. Let's hope Horse's p4p ratings are adjusted accordingly.Horse wrote:Khan vs Diaz is trash.

Re: Khan Sheffield April 27th
I would pay for it. It would be a great night in Sheffield if Brook was on the bill. I love a Brit fighting for a 'real' world title at home, there is something special about it.jtourettes wrote:Don't give them any ideas.earsjohn wrote:What about a triple header Sky box office?

Re: Khan Sheffield April 27th
Diaz is an awful fight.
Though Matthysse v Peterson should be a top fight. With the winner facing Danny Garcia.

They are seriously misjudging Khan's popularity at the box office.jlh wrote:Looked on the motorpoint website. Tickets on sale tomorrow, defo going to be half empty if these ticket prices are anything to go by

Re: Khan Sheffield April 27th
I deleted the Khan v Molina program from my Sky box before I'd had chance to watch Diaz v Crawford.
I've always been a fan of Diaz and assumed he must have boxed very well to earn a draw in that fight, as Crawford seemed to be on the rise.
Khan v Diaz is not an especially good fight for the fans but surely not a terrible one? I sometimes get the impression that if Khan is not lined up to face a banger then a disproportionate amount of whinging ensues.. I could be wrong.

It's an OK fight. But not a bill topper in a different county to Khan's home, at World Tiltle prices.Kilburn wrote:I deleted the Khan v Molina program from my Sky box before I'd had chance to watch Diaz v Crawford.
