In Wolverhampton Steve Saville used to sell good numbers, and Dean Harrison in the earlier part of their career.

A lot of fighters unless they get to big titles on the TV ticket selling actually decreases, everyone wants to go see their mate/friend/uncle/brother fight when theyre a young lad and its their first few fights, when it becomes the norm less and less turn out - this is usually when unless a fighter has a big promoter behind them, the fighter has to start tacking risky fights, away from home or shorter notice opportunities etc. Well that seems to have happened a lot round the midlands the last few years anyway.

Harrison pretty much sold out the show in Widnes by himself when he fought McCloskey for the British made a cracking atmosphere

Always had a voiceforous and good support, mostly lads off the scotlands estate (where Dean is from) - his support seemed to dwindle the last few years, his last fight at prizefighter in his hometown he seemed to have the least fans there apart from maybe Barry Morrison.
