Williams vs Skelton is Off AGAIN!!!!

Post by KOJOE90 »

From the BBC

Danny Williams' heavyweight clash with British champion Matt Skelton has been called off for the second time.
The pair were due to meet on 3 December after an original July date was delayed when Williams dropped out with flu.

But the showdown has been shelved again because the two camps were unable to agree final terms to fight in London.

I really hope this fight happens in the future, I'm sick of them not being able to get a deal done.

My fav part of BBC's report on this news...

"He drove an open-top bus to Skelton's home town of Bedford but only managed to have a showdown with a car park attendant, who threatened to give him a ticket."

Would it be inconceivable that Williams could fight on the December card, even if it's not vs Skelton? He didn't look in too bad a shape in the photos of him in Bedford, and since Fwank called the Skelton-Williams match back on, it seems Williams and he have at least buried the hatchet to some extent.

Put it this way, if he doesn't, he's only fought 3 rounds since the Klitchko fight.

This story is absolute bollocks.

The fight was never rearranged in the first place!!

Sports Network are an absolute joke. Who announces a fight with such surity and hype, when one of the fighters hasnt even signed the contract??

A fight CANNOT be called off, if one of the fighters hasnt signed the contract...because if one of the two fighters hasnt signed the contract, you dont have a fight.

Name!

Tyson was beating him on the cards until Tyson quit!

What the hell is Skelton thinking fighting him.

Wouldn't suprised me if Danny was paid to pull out because they want to feed Skelton journymen.

Maybe it's Maloney getting him to fight Mc Bride, Warren knew him fighting Williams would be bigger money.

I say Warren gets Danny a decent Euro fighter instead.
