BBC Programme on boxing films

Did anyone watch it?

I agree with your number 1.

The thing that hurts Raging Bull in my opinion is it misses out a very important part of Lamottas life, when he was younger he attacked a bookmaker so savagely he thought he'd killed him and that haunted him for many years and not long after he beat Cerdan the "dead" guy revealed himself to him and it lifted a weight from his shoulders.

I read the book first and the film was poor by comparison

very good programme - cant see how you are disappointed with the extraordinary "raging bull" its cinema at its most majestic.

never liked the rocky films much though...i need to have something just a tiny bit real to believe in
