No i have not read the Koran or the bible back to back, nor do I care to ,but i am familiar with some of the more controversial writings in them .
Like I said any religion thats Prophet married and had sex with six year old child is gonna have some loopy people following it ,just like Small and his band of merry men

Burning poppies is not remotely acceptable, nor is shouting muderers at our lads in the forces when they come home.

Poppies have been high jacked now, the money raised by them do not go to the war veterans of yesteryear or even retired soldiers now. We have those leaving the army and living on the streets homeless, I mean what's all that about? Where is the support for them? Does the poppy money raised help them out? No, it goes to the fat cats. Also, not wanting to hear it or not it is a fact that US and British soldiers have murdered innocents. It is/was common practise that soldiers would burst into a home in the night, separate the women and men and any males from the age of 18 would be taken away as 'suspects' to be interrogated and tortured in an attempt to make them 'confess' something. Now, reverse the role. I don't know your situation but how would you or your family feel if armed soldiers burst in your home in the night and dragged you away in front of your kids and other family members? How would or kids/family members feel? The problem with most is that the majority of us have been indoctrinated and brainwashed in how our Government, our 'leaders' want us to think. Just because someone is a soldier doesn't automatically make them a 'good guy'. You get arseholes in all walks of life. I've seen a soldier throw a puppy over a cliff to its death, its been known of British and US soldiers to rape women. Do they deserve a 'heroes' welcome? Of course you also get good soldiers as well but you get my point....

My issue with the poppy is that the money generated from it doesn't help the retired soldier or their families. Your fooled into believing that the money raised is going to them or to even help them. Its not. As sad as it is the poppy has been high jacked. The money from them helps fund illegal wars and doesn't help the homeless retired soldier after they have done the Governments dirty work.

see, i get where your coming from, but its worth pointing out that most religious people dont actually behave that way. They get demonised as much as any1. Its like me putting up pictures of people passing out vomiting and fighting in the streets and saying every1 who has a drink behaves that way.

Im not religious (tho I do study taoism, paganism and various eastern religious philosophy), but some people can be just as smug/judgemental in their condemning of others beliefs. (I dont mean you when i say that tho). A lot of grass roots religious folk do a lot of good that never gets acknowledged in these arguments. Tho granted, a lot of the churches hierarchy are corrupt.

You need to study Islam more if you wish to comment on it. This was the sign of the times where young family members would be choosen for 'future' marriage and it wasn't only practised in the religion of Islam. Pedophilia isn't condoned in any religion and it isn't a known fact that the Prophet carried the act of pedophilia out.
