Like the video says, it's quite a big step to go from domestic to fringe world class for Brian.

Tickets are £40 and then £80 for ringside, which is very decent.

Alcine has only lost to Santos, Macklin and Angulo - and recently took all of big punching David Lemiuex's shots at middleweight.

Rose is not a knockout artist, but is a smooth boxer and whilst it will be tough, i think he will do it over 12 rounds.

That's what I like to see! Props to Rose and his team for making this fight. Alcine will be his toughest opponent too date and will bring bags of experience and a very good boxing game with him to Blackpool. Personally I think he is slightly past his best but Rose has to be on top form to have any chance of a win.

Big step for Rose, this is true, but Alcine looks horrible with Macklin.

Alcine also looked horrible when he was stopped in the first by Angulo, but soon thereafter he beat David Lemieux.

Rose is near the level that Lemieux was, and he is below the levels of Angulo and Macklin, so this is a good step-up in my opinion. Rose also lacks the aggression and the power of Angulo and Macklin, and it's the combination of these qualities that Alcine has recently struggled with.

This is a fairly good scrap I reckon. Alcine's chin is made of china but if he gets past the early rounds and find a rhythm he can give good fighters a problem or two.
