Scott Cardle V Maxi Hughes. What British boxing needs.
Scott Cardle V Maxi Hughes. What British boxing needs.
Great to see two unbeaten lads putting it on the line so early on in their careers. Could have easily kept fighting bums & met at British title level. & credit must go to Hearn & Coldwell for making it. Who wins?
Re: Scott Cardle V Maxi Hughes. What British boxing needs.
scott has a mtch prior to this 1 will the fight still go ahead should scott for some reason lose?
Re: Scott Cardle V Maxi Hughes. What British boxing needs.
Yea he fights on the Bellew card. I prosume so. The fights a done deal & only for the central area. I think it's a given he will win this next fight though & that's my point. The whole emphasis on the '0' is a load of rubbish. We want to see real fights & this will be. I Think Maxi will win but it's going to be a proper tear up

Seen Cardle on Sky & nothing whatsoever of Hughes, but getting my tickets as soon as they go on sale. Looking at the records though it has the makings of a great fight.

Prospects should be tested a lot more earlier in their career. Wish it happened more.

Couldn't agree more. I know maxi fought unbeaten ronnie Clarke in his 5th fight. Ronnie had knocked his first 3 out. It ended in a draw, did neither of them any harm & gave them both good experience. & gave the paying public a terrific fight.

Frustrates me so much to see fights like Dickens-Galahad not happen, so it's brilliant to see fights like this made.
For me, Area titles have a huge importance. Look at fighters like Brian Rose, Lee Selby and Gary Buckland ect, it plays a huge part in their development from prospect to title fighter. In Bobby Rimmer's last interview with iFilm London he talked about the route they took with Rose and it hit the nail on the head.

Course it is. Gives you a decent ranking with BBBofC & puts you in line for English/British titles. I personally think they will both go onto that level at least. Possibilities of a rematch later down the line if its good perhaps.

Brilliant fight that.ive been in with both. Maxi deffo gets more power in his shots but cardle is the better boxer. Hughes is no slouch tho. Hard to pick for me

Fights like this is what people want to see most prospects need up to 10 fights in my opinion to settle down people paying there hard earned money want to c excitement and value for money not just 1 sided fight all time

Indeed it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. I think if Maxi is on top of his game he can edge it but it won't be easy. Cracking fight though, looking forward to this one.
