Burns leaves warren

Hope this means Rickster will be in some top quality fights.

Really hope a long drawn out court process does not follow this decision!

Good luck Ricky!!!!!!

"Morrison has questioned the extent of Vazquez’s illness after claiming that footage on YouTube shows the 26-year-old sparring when he was supposed to be laid up in bed."

I think loyalty goes out the window when you feel you've been lied too.

What happens to the 20th April card now?

Be honest didnt see this coming so soon, Morrison and Warren have worked together for as long as i can remember ,but i think Morrison has done the right thing by his fighter in my opnion. He might sign with Eddie, who knows maybe Hennessey might be intrested aswell

I might be being naive, but is it as easy as this? W@rren takes nothing lying down. Look at the grief Bomber had to go through and he wasn't even a world champion. I can't see Burns walking away without court action and the rest of the usual threats.

Vasquez has not put out one 'I'm knocking Burns out' comment, made no suggestion he was fighting Burns and has never even come over to do any press or anything at all.

All we have heard is Seckbach interviews about 3 weeks ago, of him saying nothing was agreed and he wants Broner on HBO.

He is pictured in the gym on Saturday with Ponce de Leon, sweating and hitting the bags - but his doctors note says he has been bed ridden all weekend.

What's Burns supposed to think ?

The domestic action on allegedly has not been of a high quality for sometime. Most subscribers watch the channel for the international cards. If Warrens share in the channel could be bought out, I'd like to see Hatton Promotions providing the channels domestic events going forward.

With no bill headliners it makes you wonder if Wazza will have to work with other promoters for the English side of BN. Incidentally I think a Hatton tie in would be awesome.
If Matchroom do sign him then that must have been in the offing for a while & I can see another huge legal battle taking place.

If Burns doesn't fight Broner now it will look very bad for him IMO.
At least under Fwank he had a bit of protection- now if he joins Eddie and starts fighting the same calibre of opponents

Allegedly has protected Burns and looked after his career well to this point. He has guided him to 2 world titles with clever matchmaking and careful selection of his fighters.

I understand the frustrations at not being able to fight for the last 6 months but I can only see his career going backward from here.

Broner offered Burns a fight on Twitter this week, may or June I think, for 3 pr 4 times the purse of Vásquez.
I wonder if he will take that? No need for another promoter then.

Cleverley needs to get out now. Poor sod has not had a decent opponent for well over a year. Murat and Bellew are the best on his list. Not overely impressive for a World Champ.

I like cleverly and I have no doubt he will fight whoever, but surely he has bills to pay? He needs to be fighting at least 4 times a year.

If I was an up and coming fighter, now is the time to sign with Frank IMO. He will have to look after any prospects in his stable. Bit like Hennessey a few years ago. Frank will be back!

Add that to the fact that his previous opponent, Jose Ocampo, apparently withdrew...with his manager stuck at home saying they were waiting for their flight tickets to be sent!

B allegedly needs a strong domestic interest to draw in the not so avid fan. The majority of boxing fans on here will buy subscriptions because they want to see the international cards because they love the sport, those avid fans are whether you like it or not in the minority. So for B allegedly to survive they have to draw in other sportsfans and the only way they will do that is by putting on strong domestic shows.

The only thing which will save w promotions now is a strong interest and rather large wad of cash from BT.
