Purdy misses weight
Purdy misses weight
And is stripped of his 'belt' still think he wins his fight though, he should be to fresh and too fit for Rivera

thats not good though, he can't afford to slip up and maybe Jones pulling out has made him slip a bit in training

I blame Nandos Frank and George Groves
Re: Purdy misses weight
Was Lynes offered this fight when Jones pulled out?
Will there ever be a rematch?

Re: Purdy misses weight
Silly - how much was Purdy over? I like his no nonsense style but hope he's taking this seriously; a loss could really set him back.

Blame my poor grammar on my phone I missed out a comma
Re: Purdy misses weight
Prob means he missed some training sessions too.
Re: Purdy misses weight
I've never been to Nandos; is it good? (Is it worse blowing a big televised fight over?) :(

i am not the grammar police mate and i have more problems than most with spelling, missed words etc I just thought it sounded like a fighters name[/quote]
Haha no worries I thought it didn't sound right when I read it back

It's nice if you like chicken
Re: Purdy misses weight
Good but overrated if that makes any sense. A bit on the pricey side for what it is and their chips are muck too.palooka wrote:I've never been to Nandos; is it good? (Is it worse blowing a big televised fight over?) :(

Nando's is the nut's. Extra hot is the way forward. I used to date a girl from India and her mum said she didn't know how they made their chicken so nice and she was an expert.Old bones Ian wrote:Its a KFC with knives and forks, keeps the riff raff out.Deno1986 wrote:Good but overrated if that makes any sense. Re: Purdy misses weight
Anyone think Purdy could lose tonight? I've never been overly impressed by purdy and his opp has fought and beaten decent company. Admittedly I haven't seen him fight - has anyone on here seen Rivera fight? I know he defeated James Hare but never seen the fight!
Mightput a small stake on Rivera and maybe the draw

Re: Purdy misses weight
Purdy late stoppage with a punch round the ear hole to ko Rivera.
Close fight up till then. I dreamt it already! Good scrap

Agree with the first part of your sentence but keeps the riff raff out? Can't agree with that its full of them, its where they upgrade to for those "special" occasions when cottage chicken just won't do!Old bones Ian wrote:Its a KFC with knives and forks, keeps the riff raff out.Deno1986 wrote:Good but overrated if that makes any sense. As for Purdy that's disappointing he didn't make the weight - doesn't look very professional at all.

Re: Purdy misses weight
Rivera coming in at a weeks notice might be the difference here, he might not have the fitness to push Purdy fully. Rivera is tough as they come and a better than expected subsitute for Jones on such short notice.
He's an awkward boxer , not the biggest puncher but did floor Berto in 2007. Purdy should win this one on points, or maybe a late stoppage if Rivera's fitness isn't there.

I've had cheeky go on Rivera at 3-1. I fancy the upset....though as you say Ian it depends what shape/how fit Rivera is.

I live on Isle of Wight, and people here talk about Nandos like its nirvana. We don't have one here.

Rivera is more than capable of beating Purdy. This isn't a bad fight I will have a few quid on old Cosme for the win. 3/1 is not too bad.
