Singleton vs Woodhouse
Re: Singleton vs Woodhouse
Anyone no results from other fights?
Re: Singleton vs Woodhouse
I had the sound off and watched the fight live on the coldwell tv app.
Curtis was robbed!
How anyone sees it any different amazes me, even in the first 3 rounds there's an argument that woodhouse out worked singleton with his jab.
Curtis was the aggressor, landed more, made singleton miss all night, that was the best I've seen woodhouse and I've followed his career. Gutted for him.
There will be no rematch, Curtis will struggle to get another shot, singleton will lose his first defence...
Ive looked forward to that fight all week. What happened to the challenger has to beat the champion convincingly?
Boxing really p!sses me off sometimes!

Just got back from Bowlers with my old man & as much as I wanted Curtis to win I thought Shane sneaked it.

I thought Woodhouse won comfortably. No idea how you gave 4th to Singleton, that looked one-sided.
Singleton just tried to steal the fight, flicking a jab that never landed and running. But he got walked down and busted up.
I was watching on a computer so respect the view of someone there, but that decision looked a bad one.

As soon as Curtis got deducted a point i thought this will be a draw. But then about 30 seconds later Singleton blatently spat his gumshield out when Woodhouse was on the attack, for me that should of been a point deduction as well. Was surprised the ref did nothing.

I feel like I won the fight by a good few rounds, I'm not one to bitch about decisions but I feel as if I've been screwed, I tell Dave cold well I will fight anybody anywhere but that will no longer be the case, my career is on the line and all I ask is a fair crack of the whip, tonight I feel I was cheated, And then I hear betting was suspended for the fight because as loads of money went on singleton to win on points, makes me angry, I won the fight fair and square and they have fuucked me, People say that's boxing but it's my life and career that is at stake, I won't get a rematch I've already been told that so I don't know what's next if anything, tonight has left a really bad tAste in my mouth and made me feel like calling it a day, I love boxing but tonight I feel it let me down

Hope you don't walk away Curtis, and can understand why you are angry with last nights decision.
I can't understand why Singleton won't give you a rematch, as this would sell out the place again and sort out who is better.
I've never seen you in a bad fight Curtis, and hope you continue.

Re: Singleton vs Woodhouse
As said I'm not sure of what to make of it till I watch it back. I know the press row all had Curtis winning, some by a wide margin. I did speak to others in the know and most agreed although a couple did say Singleton just nicked it. I personally thought Curtis had it by 3 maybe 4 rounds. Curtis just kept the pressure on and walked Singy down scoring with a fast left jab and shots to the body where Singy flicked and picked and scored with a kind of corkscrew uppercut that did, in all fairness find the target early on. Really need to watch this again as soon as its available on the app. Chin up Curtis, great fight (no pun). Well done Singy too for putting on a show and showing his metal in what was a cracking scrap.

I dnt think there is anything sinister about the betting, they just will have stopped it cause all his mates were having a good few quid on him & cause he was underdog and unknown they scrapped it
He sells a fair few tickets and is well known in his area... Mini dingle celeb

Re: Singleton vs Woodhouse
anyone else agree that Singleton should of also been deducted a point for spitting out gumshied?
Re: Singleton vs Woodhouse
As soon as he did it I thought that's a point, he did it so obviously.Old bones Ian wrote:anyone else agree that Singleton should of also been deducted a point for spitting out gumshied?
Curtis dont hang them up mate, you looked the best I've seen you last night. Relentless.
Get a quick win under your belt, then back at it... Forward thinking!

Yeah, Foster lost the plot because he had given lots of warnings to Singleton for holding too, including some blatant holding when he held Curtis against the ropes.
Re: Singleton vs Woodhouse
Dunno how anyone can make a case for Singleton other than those at the venue being influenced by the crowd. Just shows what a boost a home crowd gives. Fair play to Curtis for going into the lions den but that ultimately lost him the fight.
Re: Singleton vs Woodhouse
I had it 97-92 for Woodhouse one of the worst decisions of recent times, unbelievable.
Re: Singleton vs Woodhouse
Didnt see the fight but from the pic Woodhouse looks unmarked and Singleton looks bust up.
Re: Singleton vs Woodhouse
Don't give up on it Curtis, everyone knows you won it ! Just work on your power and take it out the judges hands in the futurecurtis wood wrote:I feel like I won the fight by a good few rounds, I'm not one to bitch about decisions but I feel as if I've been screwed, I tell Dave cold well I will fight anybody anywhere but that will no longer be the case, my career is on the line and all I ask is a fair crack of the whip, tonight I feel I was cheated, And then I hear betting was suspended for the fight because as loads of money went on singleton to win on points, makes me angry, I won the fight fair and square and they have fuucked me, People say that's boxing but it's my life and career that is at stake, I won't get a rematch I've already been told that so I don't know what's next if anything, tonight has left a really bad tAste in my mouth and made me feel like calling it a day, I love boxing but tonight I feel it let me down

Don't give up as much as I hate Prizefighter if you enter and win it your bound to get a British title shot then you can forget about the Singleton result

Curtis I remember watching your professional debut; you've come on leaps and bounds since then IMO. If you'd told me after seeing your debut that this man would nearly beat Frankie Gavin I wouldn't have believed itcurtis wood wrote:thanks pal
