Zaveck lands. Zaveck lands two lefts. Thurman gets busy. Big rights Thurman. He is hurt. Big big right Thurman.

99-91 Thurman.

Zaveck is giving Thurman exactly what he needed. A reality check.

They both lost it in the 6th, and Zaveck lost it at the end of the 7th causing no delay.

Thurman is in there with a guy who is 36, hasn't fought in a year, and doesn't possess a lot of power yet he hasn't even managed to put Zaveck down. Thurman is good but he will never become great.

Good advice by corner to Thurman. You have this. You don't need to look for the KO. Very impressed with Thurman's improvement skill-wise. Couple decent rights by Zaveck and thurman keeps returning harder fire.

118-110 Thurman.

excellent work by Zaveck giving thurman the work he needed. Thurman really stepped up professionally tonight. Nice jab, good patience, great conditioning.

117-111 Thurman

I gave Zaveck the 6th, 8th, and 12th, but they could've fairly gone to Thurman too; 120-108 is plausible.

He'd need to add a couple more times for it to be suitable.

Thurman is good, he simply isn't what HBO wants us to believe he is. I'd like to see him in against Mike Jones next to gauge where both guys stand in the division but I don't think he would fare well with any of the top Welterweights.

He beat a good opponent, who was getting on and had no real punch power. Easy to tee off when the opponent can't hurt you. Let's see him in there with someone who can punch hard back. Not really that impressed, to be honest. Heavily hyped but I guess we know that.
