I feel the same. The only way to stop PPV from SKY Box Office and Primetime is to stop buyinh the events. As long as there is a market for it, PPV will always be an option.
My local bar will be showing the fight. £17.95 will buy me 6 pints and a packet of scampi fries. A much better option than PPV in the house I feel Probably better to put money back into the local community ahead of SKY's coffers.
Well it depends if I win the ballot at work to get tickets to the Corporate Box at the O2 to watch it. Even if the ticket is £65 to go down at watch it. But I hope we get a terrific bill to go with it. If I don't win it I will be forking out as well...

I think if Eddie does maybe 4-5 ppv shows a year with a massive main event and a really good under card wich we get to see all of the under card then I would be happy to pay for ppv a few times a year
Righthook, are you referring to "normal" sky shows or the PPV ones when you say they're going to show the whole undercard too ?

Il have a few of the lads round it will work out about £3 each, not bad to watch 2 world class fighters slug it out.
Of course no one would want to pay for ppv if they had the choice but if we want to see the big fights its the only way they can be made (fact)
What a crock of shit, if we want to see them get in the ring then everyone is going to have to cough up a little extra on the PPV or it's not going to happen. Spoken like Hearn himself.
The reason it's PPV is that Eddie had to chuck big money at team Kessler to get the fight on home turf which means fornicate all If you're watching it on the box
Fact is this is the biggest fight on the British boxing season on Sky and they've made it PPV milking the boxing punters.
Their first fight was a hard fight - but certainly not the great fight some people now claim.
At this stage of their careers it doesn't really mean alot though.
We know the limitations of Froch now. We also know Kessler is on his last legs.
It just seems more a show than an event.
I will give it a look the morning after if it gets good reviews.

Ha, Ha, Ha, Wrestling has always been predictable and full of childlike storylines. I wouldnt pay 17P to watch it. Froch v Kessler is predictable as well. Kessler on points, I reckon.
I will be hunting for a bar in sunny Tenerife with it on. If i was home I would have no problem paying for it though, its a fight I WANT to see, potential to be an all time classic going on last time and like has been said before if there's a few lads round for a drink to watch it, it's only a few quid each.

Surely you get the concept that boxing is a business ? Without ppv revenue how do you suggest the Promotor raises the capital to cover the whole costs of the show plus purses etc ? Ticket sales, advertising ?
