Costello was stopped on his feet in the last round (10). Butler won the vast majority of the rounds and was comfortably winning the fight at the time of the stoppage. Nevertheless it was action packed from beginning to end. Simply cracking fight!

The score cards won't do it justice. In fact I gave every round to Butler including a 10-8 but it was still a great fight. Butler was fantastic and just out boxed Tom which I didn't expect at all. Hats off to both lads and congrats to Danny on winning the English strap. Top lad, top performance.

Hats off to Danny Butler the lads had his fair share of bad luck & come good I really believe we got Danny at his very best. Danny Butler & Andy O'kane are great team & true gents good luck to them. It's now up to Thomas to make the adjustments & show the same resolve.

Watched Costello at the villa leisure a few years ago looked a good prospect is that a draw and loss on his card now change of trainer might be of benefit

It always still amazes me that anytime a young lad has a loss people seem to think and call for him to leave/change there trainer
Like his trainer just said, it's now down to Thomas to adjust certain things with his help and show his resolve by jumping straight back on the horse (so to speak) and carry on with what will still be a promising career for the kid. To much emphasis is put on unbeaten records, has long has you learn from your losses and you become a improved fighter then it can be a blessing in disguise. I personally look forward to Thomas & his trainer carrying on there journey together and achieving what there more than capable of, titles

The lad who beat him as only had two fights in the last two to three years Its only my opinion but when i seen this lad box i thought here's something special no way should he have a defeat and a draw on his record after 14 fights so a change of trainer might be a good move for him only my opinion as ive said
