It's funny this, because Thompson in his post match interview said he wouldn't be going after the young American prospects because he was now looking upwards in the rankings rather than looking to be a name on someones record.

Mr Maloney said to ifilm London that there were 2 options for Price and an annoucnement would be coming in the next 10 days or so, and that was a few days back. Will be interesting to see if Price's next fight is going to be announced soon.

The thing is, if Thompson whacks Wilder right after Price, as pathetic and easy as these wins were for him, he's propelled straight into Povetkin/Vitali challenger territory and another nice German payday.
