Some interesting things I noticed looking through the RBR:
JCS and I had it identically (every round).
Evander was the only one who gave Cloud the 9th and Hopkins the 8th.
DW was the only one who gave Cloud the 10th.
DW and Evander were the only ones who gave Cloud the third.
Tanzio was the only one who didn't give the fourth to Hopkins; he had it even.
Crusader was the only one who didn't give the first to Hopkins.
Evander was the only one who scored the 11th for Cloud; Tanzio had it even.
Hopkins/Cloud and undercard RBR.
Re: Hopkins/Cloud and undercard RBR.
I almost went even on the 1st round, it was pretty much a coinflip round.Rover wrote:Some interesting things I noticed looking through the RBR:

Couldn't see this one tighter than 8-4 or so.
Re: Hopkins/Cloud and undercard RBR.
That's what I did, although if I were forced to score the first for one fighter it would've been Hopkins.

Fair point on Rd. 1.JCS wrote:I almost went even on the 1st round, it was pretty much a coinflip round.Rover wrote:Some interesting things I noticed looking through the RBR:

Re: Hopkins/Cloud and undercard RBR.
Just watched this again and noticed a few things:
1. Ward called Richardson Naseem Hamed.

2. Ward said that Cloud had been averaging 1,000 punches a round.

3. Hopkins said he'd be around five more years.
I'd say no way, but Calzaghe was basically 5 years ago, and he's still around, so who knows?

Re: Hopkins/Cloud and undercard RBR.
In the post-fight, Hopkins said he'd be done BY 50. I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't fight at least once at 50, if he were still winning up until then... We'll see though.Rover wrote:Just watched this again and noticed a few things:

He also said his shoulder wasn't healed in Dawson II and affected his training, as well as his ability to throw punches with that arm.
Re: Hopkins/Cloud and undercard RBR.
He did look better in this fight, though Cloud's style is different from Chad's, so who knows how legit that claim was.JCS wrote:In the post-fight, Hopkins said he'd be done BY 50.
