Well Marciano and Frazier have to be in the top five here. They just would not let the action slow down. Tyson before Japan. I'm just talking HW's. The lighter divisons have many more prospects in this catagory.

Wilfredo Gomez, Duran, Aaron Pryor was so wild you had to watch. He was like a car crash all by himself. Jeez the list is long. Spinks before Ali was pretty interesting, he was so aggresive and paired up with such bad opposition that it was at least exciting to watch him come up the ranks.

Qawi, Saad, I looked forward to seeing Victor Galindez, McQuigan, Danny Lopez. I suppose I could get carried away here. Dont' think I named any snoozers though. Benitez comes to mind as well. Nelson...

The swarmers always seem more interesting, not always the best but never produce sleepers.

Ali has to be the most exciting as well mainly because of the level of competition.
Ali-Frazier 3 is a great pick but in my opinion Foreman vs Lyle was the most exciting and entertaining fight I ever saw regardless of weight.

I agree, the guy was never in a dull fight and had an all action style. He's one of my favourite fighters...

Obvious choices are Ali, Frazier, Marciano, Louis, Holmes, Holifield, I'd also add Liston, Foreman, Chuvalo, Quarry, Shavers, Cleve Williams, Gerrie Coetzee, Mike Weaver... Renaldo Snipes... Leon Spinks, Tex Cobb, Ken Norton.. Riddick Bowe, Floyd Patterson, Frank Bruno........

ali in the 60s was fun to watch because he had so much skills and his matches were tactical, but besides ali-foreman and ali-frazier most of the ali 70s fights were dreadfully boring. only reason people still watched them was because muhammad ali was fighting.

ali-evangelista- did anyone fall asleep during this fight??

I disagree... Ali vs Bonavena, Chuvalo2, Bugner1, Foster, Norton 1, 2 and 3, Lyle, Wepner, Shavers and Spinks 1 and 2... were all good fights even vs Young was a good tactical fight. No heavyweight has been in more exciting fights than Ali. Even when he was bad he was good.

Silkov I agree but was hesitant to take the heat on this, but since you saying it I'm seconding it. Terrell was major Drama, Frazier X3 NortonX3

Foreman Ali I can watch over and over, Cooper was great, even Doug Jones, The Bugner fights, hell I'm just repeating.

Here is a big challenge, Name one fight that Joe Frazier was in that was boring.

Frazier Ali 2 may have been the top of that list, and to me that was not boring.

True Frazier was never in a boring fight. But Ali made fights exciting just by his being in there. He could just be opening a bottle of milk and it'd be exciting. All his pre exile fights were exciting because of his skills and charisma... then when he came back the skills werent quite there but it actually made his fights more exciting because he had to slug it out more.
Even when he shouldn't have been in there anymore he made his last fight with Berbick a pretty exciting and competitive match. I watched it for the first time in about 20 years the other day and was surprised at how competitive Ali was in parts of the fight. And Berbick was a real hardman.
