When Michael Moorer won the world heavyweight title in 1994, he was the first southpaw ever to win that particular championship. Before him, only two southpaws had challenged for the world heavyweight title in gloved, Queensbury rules history. The question is, who were those two southpaws?
PS - this is men who boxed as a southpaw - excludes left handed men who boxed orthodox.
PPS - this is much more fun if you play fair. No cheating, you scoundrels!

I think the guys are right
Dunn and Mildenberger challengers only
Fred Fulton never challenged officially for the title. although in an exhibition he put Willard on the canvas back in the 1910s

Karl Mildenberger and Richard Dunn are correct!
Well done Jessi and Cholo, working in tandem.
Well trivia time was a storming success. I'm surprised I was able to work through the deluge.
Can anyone name any left-handed men who boxed orthodox and won the world heavyweight title?

Gentleman Gerry Cooney gave it a good shot, in the fight of the century ( well, it was up there, or it definitely was if you managed to get a ticket)
