Riddick Bowe vs. Jorge Luis Gonzales

I think that's the worse beating I've seen a fighter take. I remember
watching that fight as a teen & thinking "This Is The First Time I Might
See Someone Die In The Ring."

Bowe tried to kill that guy in a professional way. It was alot of shit talking
leading up to that fight because Jorge beat Bowe in the amatuers. Wine
glass throwing & everything! LOL! My only argument is that is that why
didn't Bowe act like that towards Lennox? Lewis was calling him out &
he wanted no part.

Back to that fight though. Did anyone else see this bout?

Yes, I remember. I really disliked Gonzalez because he kind of tortured Snipes years ago, so I was rooting for Bowe. It surprised me a bit that it was so lopsided.

Gonzales was a bullyboy and Bowe cut him down to size easily Huge things were expected of Gonzales but the few times I saw him fight he was slow and ponderous so couldn't see what the fuss was about (and that hairdo )

I've watched a few of Jorge's fights, including this one. bowe flat out pummelled him.
Against Witherspoon, Jorge couldn't keep his left hand up either, and kept eating Tim's overhand rights and got KO'd.
Big guy-couldn't fight.
