Haye v Fury possible for this summer

I can't see this fight happening to be honest but if it does what are peoples thoughts on it?

I personally think Haye would stop Fury in the middle rounds after a cautious opening. I'm not sure Fury could handle Haye's speed or power and equally I don't think Fury has the power to trouble Haye.

That's what I thought when I read the thread title. If the fight was half as good as the build up trash talk it would be epic. I don't think it would be as easy as everyone is saying. I'd expect Haye to win somewhere around 7-10 but anything can happen with the big lads so anything is possible.

No way Fury takes this fight. He is seeking a world title shot, something Haye does not offer and Fury knows that Haye will bomb him out of there so it's too much of a risk for Fury with no world title on the line.

My initial thought was too much risk for too little reward with Haye too but actually, he'll win this comfortably, most likely via stoppage so it's a bumper pay day for a 'keep busy(!)' fight whilst positioning himself for a Klit.

I don't think Haye would want any piece of this fight.

I mean, he would IMO beat Fury, probably by stoppage, but it's a no-win fight for Haye. Fury would represent a massive banana skin to the Hayemaker.

Can't see it happening as long as I've got a hole in my arse, but if it did I'd be betting on a Haye stoppage.

Is this a serious idea? Just that I thought Fury was after WK and Haye was targeting Vitali, or the James Bond role.

In this fantasy bout, I have Haye by stoppage in six. In a couple of years time, might be different if Fury keeps on progressing. Other than that it is just an imaginative domestic dust up - that we as fans crave. I really hope Steve's thread title comes to fruition, as the fun to be had before, during and after would be epic.

Heavyweight boxing needs David Haye back and pronto. What Chisora said on the interview (5Live) was correct, boxing isn't in the best place and needs characters. Haye is above Dereck in promo and ring ability. Different league.

Over the course of the fight I see Fury giving Haye a really hard time with his quick hands and mobility. Fury by frustrating points win.

When you're as rich as David Haye is it worth risking a loss to Fury for a meagre million quid or so?

Why does everyone only think Chisora was out of shape in that fight? Tyson's conditioning has improved ten fold since then now he is training properly. I actually thought Haye looked tired in the Del boy fight.

he did look tired before he knock del boy out cold; even paul smith commentated the he taught haye was blowing hard walking to the corner

i think haye takes this fight and if it comes off it will be the biggest fight britain has ever seen at heavyweight

That's the point, comparing fighters on he beat, she beat alone doesn't work.

I think Fury would do better against Wlad than Haye. But I think Haye would blow Fury away.

What you think fury would last 12 rounds against wlad ?

So sticking him in with a seasoned McDermott in his 8tth fight and an unbeaten Chisora for the British title in his 14th is protecting him? Matched very, very well for someone so young.

I kind of know what you mean, but have to disagree, haye widely got beat by wlad but I can see fury getting seriously hurt, agree with haye blowing fury away though !

I agree with MachoMan - I think Fury would land a lot more than Haye did on Wlad before getting stopped. He has the reach, jab and combinations to do a lot of damage, but with his porous defence Wlad would end up putting him away.

Scenario A: Rabbit in the headlights like Lewis - Golota. Haye TKO1 Fury.
Scenario B: Cautious Haye start followed by a second or third round stoppage.

I don't think Fury is ready and he hasn't got passed Cunningham yet.

I can't see why people are looking past Cunningham either. Fair enough, he is a natural cruiser but he won't be a pushover. He is a wily fox that knows his way around a ring. He will be a lot busier than Kingpin was and it will be a tough night for Tyson. Definitely value there for the gamblers.

I agree that haye would win by ko early to mid rounds - but fury has improved drastically since he fought chisora as well. This fight will never happen unless fury has a world title.
