I don't think Fury is ready and he hasn't got passed Cunningham yet.

I can't see why people are looking past Cunningham either. Fair enough, he is a natural cruiser but he won't be a pushover. He is a wily fox that knows his way around a ring. He will be a lot busier than Kingpin was and it will be a tough night for Tyson. Definitely value there for the gamblers.

Disagree i cant see anything cunningham has that will trouble Fury. Fury's jab is going to cause him mares.

Haye isn't likely to be as scared/ cautious as he was against Wlad & Valuev or even Harrison , and he will look to throw bombs in the guestimation Fury's chin is poor (PAJKIC & AMERICAN GUY?)

I see Fury applying constant attacking pressure which means Haye is throwing wild shots, and wearing him out down the stretch possibly even stopping him.

Let's not beat about the bush, Fury has been matched very wisely to protect his unbeaten record. He's not ready for the Klitschko's or Haye but if he keeps on talking like he is, surely he'll have to back it up at some point.

So sticking him in with a seasoned McDermott in his 8tth fight and an unbeaten Chisora for the British title in his 14th is protecting him? Matched very, very well for someone so young.

Yes, earlier in Fury's career he fought an 18 stone John McDermott (many say lost) and an out of shape Chisora also around the 18 stone mark.

I actually meant that he had been protected lately - Martin Rogan, Vinny Maddalone, Kevin Johnson, Cruiserweight Steve Cunningham... We can't argue that he has been matched well.

I think Haye will likely be looking to face Povetkin for the belt, Huck to increase his stake in Germany or possibly one of the yanks to get the fame in the US and the backing of the tv companies (thats if anyones good enough but i can really see it), possibly arreola.

If he wants to force a manditory its unlikely he will be looking to fight Tyson unless it gets him something he wants.

if the ghost of Carl Thompson can stop Haye, so can Fury. Fury also has the height to keep Haye outside like Wlad did. Chances are Haye does dust him early, but it's far from impossible for Fury to win this.

The David Haye promotion machine in full swing just like vs Harrison. The way he markets himself is brilliant - OK so he was extremely disappointing in his career defining fight, failing to attack Wlad who has the power to make him cautious.

Problem is we all remember that fight when starting to believe Fury has a shot - Haye will build the hype with these well placed newspaper articles now he knows that Fury is out there alone as the #1 British HW, to the point that we think it's a competitive fight. I for one expect to realise as the fights gets underway that Haye is a level above Fury at this stage and that we've been duped into buying it. Haye was gassing out against Chisora and Fury's stamina is better...? Fury has a decent jab but he'll need it all 12 cause it's over when Haye lands IMO.

Haye was certainly looking tired versus Chisora, but Del-Boy is a big strong aggressive bloke going straight at him. Fury will have to box, he doesn't have the chin to stay in Haye's face. Chisora turned out not to have the chin to stay on Haye, and Chisora has a great chin.

Fury will try box and the handspeed and KO power will be the perfect recipe for another 7ft novelty fighter.

Incidentally, I don't believe this fight will be happening at all.

Good post. Haye has earnt millions from two fights where he was clearly a level above his domestic opponent.

This could follow a similar pattern.

I like Tyson, I really do but he is made for Haye. Stand up tall fighter, with very questionable power who is fairly easy to hit. Timberrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I can actually see this fight happening. People say its lose-lose for both but I think Fury would probably earn just as much fr fighting Haye as he would for fighting Vitali or Wlad. Imagine the hype over here for Haye-Fury? Haye talks about Klits only but why would he turn down the chance of another couple of million and another period in the limelight? Also do well for his standing and any potential fight with a Povetkin or rematch with Wlad etc if he beats anither contender etc

Johnson is a jabbing, counter puncher with zero power. Rogan is an old, old, old man who was barely European level in his prime.

Haye is far, far more explosive, technically gifted offensive fighter than these two put together.

It's like playing league one teams in preparation for a match against Chelsea.

No

Rogan nor Johnson had the ability or athleticism to close the gap sufficiently. Fury's footwork isn't as light or as fast as Wlad's.
Its closer to the level of say Audley or Maccarinelli.

Fury's chance depends purely on his punch resistance in this one. If he can stand up to Haye's power he may be able to wear him down.
