can anyone verify his claims, on the kronk website, about how good he was as an amateur? NO, not you Manny! It seems he was the best ever fighter. I have never before heard anyone speak so highly of himself. It may be true, and if it is, all credit to him. but it could also be a load of baloney. Does someone out there know?

Steward was a national golden glove champ in the late 60's...He may have won it twice, I'm not sure. But I know he won a national title atleast once..He was a very good amateur.
