Matthews v crolla

Post by BillyTKid »

I'm really looking forward to this one. Bookies have opened at 1.91 on each fighter. I fancy crolla at those prices. How do people see this going?

I don't think Crolla gave enough respect to Mathews ability in their last fight and paid the price. This time he will have learned his lesson and will keep his defence tighter and will eventually stop Derry late on. Looking forward to this one.

Derry would you ever get in the ring with Marsili again? The first fight was brilliant. Good look against Crolla. :TU:

All the best to you - and Anthony - Derry, really looking forward to this one. This is a great match up and one that a LOT of fighters/promoters can learn from IMO, two decent fighters who could easily take easier options getting in together again for pride more than the risk of damaging their record. Agree that Crolla will be a tougher nut to crack this time, especially after a brilliant but bruising fight with Kieran Farrell back in December(?).

Can still see Derry winning on points though.

Great fight. Was impressed with Matthews last time, but I felt the stoppage was a little premature. I thought that Crolla was clawing his way back into it and the ref stopped it.
I
f Crolla can move his head more this time and doesn`t stand bang in front, then I can see him winning. Either way I can`t wait for this one.

Having watched the first fight again I'm leaning further towards Crolla on Saturday. I was surprised that he didn't utilise the body shot more as it tends to be one of Derry's weaker spots and he looked as if he was badly hurt in the second from said shot but Crolla didn't capitilise. In fairness to Derry, he showed that he can hurt Crolla but Anthony's head movement was non existent and his chin was there to be hit. I felt Crolla was starting to grind Mathews down the further the fight went but Derry produced a shot from nowhere in the 6th to stop him in his tracks. It was a very poor stoppage from John Keane.

I can't see this going the distance either way and I'll be looking forward to seeing odds for this outcome. If Crolla can tidy up his defense and increase the body work then it's his fight. 10/11 is tempting.

What a fight to look forward to eh!

Looking forward to this, probably be better than the main event. Anyone know what the rest of the UC is looking like? Got tickets.

Stacked for us Scousers, mate. Not that competitive past the Fielding fight, though.

Good talent on show nonetheless. Make sure you see Jazza Dickens.

Really looking forward to this one. The last was a barnstormer. My money is going on dirty for this one.
Although I think it will be much closer this time. Derry had way more in the tank than crolla thought.

Undercard has some great fighters from Liverpool on it.

Jazza Dickens, Rocky Fielding, Tom Stalker, Chirs Metcalf and obviously Derry, Stephen Smith is on it aswell I think. Can't wait to see Jazza.

Should be a great fight atmosphere will be electric.
