Sam Mcvey vs Joe Jeanette Film exists

I just got word on another forum from a valid knowledgable user.

i am not sure which one it is most likely not the epic battle that ended in a 49th round knockout.

These two meet a few times. I will find out if this is the legendary 49th round TKO win for Jeanette. This epic battle took over three hours and had 20+ knock downs in it! As far as I know, this fight had more knock downs than any other.

The fights in the series between Jeanette and McVey were:

1915 Draw 12
1909 Draw 20
1909 TKO win for Jeanette
1909 Decision win for McVey
1907 ND or News decision for Jeanette.

Any one would be nice, but the 1909 49rd TKO win would be special.

I have never seen a prime Jeanette on film

O.K. You called my bluff, Buster. I would lop off a small piece of my left pinky to see this film. Keep us posted how we can get it.

i just spoke with him and he said:

"I believe it is the 20 round decsion won by McVey. The collector needs to get back to me to verify."
