Roman Martinez is a good fighter, world class he is not. Do not get me wrong Ricky is a good fighter, i actually think he is now a genuine world class fighter, but he is being protected from big fights. Why fight Kastidas or Mitchell ? two joke fights, he's turning 30 very soon, Harrison had beat 5 world champions by the age of 25, let alone fighting guys like Kastidas and Mitchell after nearly 30 fights, it is a joke. I have a gut feeling if Ricky never kept dodging Scott, that when fight went into the trenches as it would Scott would be two ruthless for him, and would grind him down late in a fight. Ricky had a chance of three big fights this year Harrison, Vasquez or Broner and him and his camp have walked away from all 3, do i need to say more

It is why all these old fighters are so well revered now. They never ducked anyone. Because they couldn't. To get all the marbles you had to fight the top guy.

And they can make all the excuses they want. Broner would stand burns on his head. And everyone knows that. So makes sense to duck the fight until everything is in team burn's favor. Because to be honest, i wouldn't wanna fight broner on any night. But maybe I am living in a dream world, where so called elite professional athletes do battle with each other.

They never made enough from individual fights to duck anyone. Broner is a dick, but he is class.

I wouldn't want to fight a guy who would make me look like a Bum of the month either! Good advice Billy.

But what happens the next time you are matched with a guy you know you can't beat?

I will cheer Rick on like everyone else, but I think he's got a tall order.

Hopefully he earns a big chunk of change, and even in defeat, can challenge for titles again if Broner goes to 140.

Shame Valero or Pac at 135 aren't about - they would bust him.

Broner would shat himself against Valero.

Lets get real here Billy, Ricky has had very opportunity to fight Broner and has refused to do so. H may well have had his reasons but he's ducked the fight. On what planet does Broner bin a title at 147 to fight little old Ricky Burns?

To the guy's that said Harrison got schooled of Mendina, he was being sick in dressing room before 1st fight ask Billy Nelson. Do you remember second fight, Scott destroyed him from 1st to 1wth round, had him down 4 times till fight was stopped - that's what I call schooling. When Scott won world title aged only 25, the WBO top 4 in rankings were Harrison (champ) Marquez, Barrera, Hamed. So that's some achievement. Harrison repeatedly offered all the top guys fights, Marquez and Guzman agreed to fight him then they pulled out of the fight. Scott also went to a barrera fight in Las Vegas and offered him a fight. Pacman agreed these guys were avoiding him and Scott back then. And how can anyone say Kevin Mitchell is world class, what is that based on ? What has he achieved at world level? It was embarrassing those who thought him and ricky was a 50/50 world class fight, it was a mismatch, as was obvious from when it got made.

I too generally find it best to make grandstanding statements about how a fight was "obviously" a mismatch after the actual fight has taken place. Not many people on this site (who are generally pretty clued up as far as online forums go) it easy to predict the Burn vs Katsidis/Mitchell fights.
