Alvarado wins 115-113 on my scorecard. Here is how I scored it:

A---R
9---10
18---20
28---29
38---38
47---48
56---58 This was my toughest round to score. It could have gone either way.
66---67
76---76
86---85
96---94
105--104
115--113

Both these guys need to stay the hell away from Matthysse, Garcia, Bradley, Provodnikov, Marquez, Broner, Peterson.

How so? I think it's a stretch to say that Rios clearly didn't win 5 rounds.
i gave him 4, anything more is generous

Perfect example of two fairly limited but very good fighters finding a niche from where they can ignore the rest of boxing and make $$$ while becoming legends.

Great fight but I think that Bradley vs Provodnikov was superior.

I think the key besides the movement for Alvarado was the body work. He didn't do much body work in the first fight but did a lot more in this one and I thought it took something out of Rios. I think if Mike concentrates on doing more body work early in the fight he will win a 3rd with Rios far easier.

Provodnikov would land his overhand right all night on Rios and Rios would land uppercuts. That fight would be sick but I think Ruslan is the bigger hitter by a fair margin. Alvarado would be a harder style for Ruslan if he fights like he did tonight.

Umm, if you're going to stand in front of him like Rios would I dont think Provodnikov would look overrated. Ruslan probably punches harder than Alvarado and Rios combined. You can definitely outbox Ruslan but you sure as hell dont stand in the pocket with him

It was a tad silly for me to include RP with these other balanced, proven fighters but just as I think Rios can be clearly beaten by movement, Ruslan is the one guy in the division you dont trade with dead center of the ring.

Yeah Provodnikov doesnt deserve to be listed along side Bradley. He just gave him brain swelling, that's all.

Dont be silly. Bradley fought like an idiot and made it harder than it had to be. I give RP props but when Bradley boxed and moved it was easy work.

Ruslan made Bradley fight that way. Listen to his comments as to why he fought like that. It wasn't to win over the fans as the drama story tried to play itself as. Bradley could fight better in a rematch but you're a straight bias mofo if you believe he gets through the rematch untouched and that there's not much possibility in it happening again.

I think Rios vs Provodnikov would be a great fight...Provodnikov's power is definitely blown out of proportion though because of the Bradley fight. I've seen him fight many, many guys and he doesn't usually have the one punch power that he showed in the Bradley fight...I've never seen him hit that hard, that consistently. I don't think he could hurt Rios like he did Bradley though, but Provodnikov seems like a tough son of a bitch too. I'd definitely love to see them fight it out and see which one actually better. But Rios vs Alvarado III is already set in stone before that can happen.

I liked he first Rios vs Alvarado fight better. I am not totally psyched about a a third fight, good Saturday night entertainment though ...Now I look forward to Rigondeaux vs Donaire for a hopeful master piece..
