Derry Matthews.

Is there a better value for money fighter in British boxing? Every fight for years now he leaves it all in the ring.

Crolla deserves his share of the plaudits. Matthews (x2) and Farrell. Three consecutive grueling fights he's been in. Hopefully there's still something left in the tank for Matthews III

Was it me who thought Crolla wanted the 3rd fight more than Derry, although it's hard to judge with interviews straight after the fight

Mathews didn't seem to want it. I think he'd rather go after Gethin for the British title.

...and Crolla got an absolute barracking. His fans were quite vociferous too. During round six there were probably more punches - and pints - thrown in the crowd than the ring.

Excellent fight between the two lads tonight, although it prove neither are ever going to fight Ricky Burns, simply not at his level.

great fight Derry and would love to see number 3 as I thought Anthony just nicked it, but it was very difficult to pick a winner...one thing for sure you never fail to provide entertainment

I have to agree with you here Billy  Ricky would stop these 2 very quick maybe Kevin Mitchell could fight one of them :box: Derry looked one paced to me and Crolla went up the gears in the later rounds

A draw doesn't seem that bad a result I thought Crolla maybe nicked it although I had a few quid on Mathews. Bring on the rubber.

Yeah, crowd got restless and some guy got arrested. Usual stuff really!

He got some boos at the end but most clapped him.

So basically Broner was offered but you was talking Mathews/Crolla. Stop stealing the limelight Billy got nothing to do with Burns

Not trying to steal anything mate but your right both have nothing to do talking up a fight with Ricky, would that be the same for them trying to steal Ricky's limelight or are your hypocrite?

No not at all if it was a Burns thread I wouldn't mention Mathews or Crolla so baffled why Burns is mentioned here like mentioning Utd on a Everton/Fulham thread pointless

Both lads gave it all and it's great to see everyone appreciated their efforts. Another top fight by two great fighters. A draw was a fair result in my opinion.
