Can't vouch for the quality mate but there's some rooms at the commercial hotel on Liverpool road which is always cheap. it's the opposite end of deansgate to the MEN but easily walkable and you're in town.

Last time I was in Manchester I stopped at dump towers otherwise known as Sachas. Do not stop here under any circumstances!

My room didn't have a window the aircon was knacked, I woke up at 8am on the Sunday morning and thought I was in Strangeways!

That bad in there? I always thought it looked fancy from outside, the lobby does anyway.
I'm not fussy but this place was a shithole, I made a complaint when checking out and they gave me a voucher for a free nights stay needless to say that I never went back.

That place is an absolute dump! I was there for 30 seconds before I walked up to the manager and got my money back, there is a place called the stay inn that's fairly decent and also fairly cheap.
