Their domestic bills are not good enough.
If they sorted that out I'd probably get it.

When it comes to domestic action SKY are in the driving seat. SKY offer a highly polished product. Their well cut promos and arena events make you not only want to watch the fight, it makes you wish you'd bought a ticket.
Whilst allegedly can't compete with SKY's slick production they make up for it in pure fight action. Over the period of a month you can easily watch anywhere between 30 to 50 live fights on allegedly. Whilst their British cards aren't fantastic they do deliver what no other broadcaster seems interested in...... world class international action featuring the biggest names and champions in the sport. With long term deals with Sauerland and Golden Boy already signed allegedly are working on a long term deal with Top Rank as we speak.
So if you love watching the biggest domestic names in action it's got to be SKY. If you prefer to watch the biggest names in boxing, you've got to go with allegedly.
I'm lucky that I can afford both.

Are you referring to illegal streaming? If not the rest of this post is a bit off topicBob & Weave wrote:HDMI cable 1 off payment of £15 quid if you don't get it your a mug.
My concern with illegal streams is the long term damage it may do to the sport. If significant numbers stop subscribing to SKY Sports and allegedly, and watch illegal streams instead, there would be little incentive for TV broadcasters to continue to invest their time and money into the sport. Viewing numbers on SKY and allegedly aren't exactly fantastic as they are. If people keep on choosing the illegal route, which further erodes boxings legitimate viewing figures, they may be contributing to the future downfall of boxing on British TV. If boxing in Britain drops off TV the sport in our country would be on its knees.
Illegal streaming, if you do it you're a mug

I canceled Sky last month. The second aerial on my Sky+ box was faulty. If you recorded a program, you couldn't turn over the channel. You'd just get no signal. Tried the second aerial in the first aerial socket and I would get no signal straight away.
Phoned Sky and they wanted £65 for an engineer to look at it and then the cost to fix the problem once it's been found by the engineer. I explained that I've been a Sky member for almost 8 years. I've been paying over £50 a month (had a multiroom box for 5 years before the price went over £60).
Told the guy they either fix it for free or lose a customer. Told them the money wasn't important (which it wasn't). It was the principle. I pointed out on the phone that Sky offer a free box + installation for new customers and a customer of almost 8 years was entitled to nothing. What a totally stupid business structure. They'd rather have a new customer who may cancel after just a year. Over existing customers who've been with them for over 7 years.
It was the first time I needed an engineer in all the time I've had Sky.
Sky gave me no choice but to cancel. I use the internet to watch everything I was watching before. I feel no guilt at all because of the way I was treated as a customer of 7 (almost eight) years.

Right now boxing needs EVERYONE it can get, it's not like football which can get away with telling fans to fornicate off because there are so many of them.wappingboy wrote:i couldn't have put it better me self but u don't need to be rich to have sky and bn u just got to love boxing and be able to spend ££a few ££ if u cant eff off no one needs you your a tramp lolchad wrote:When it comes to domestic action SKY are in the driving seat. Where are the next generation of boxing fans? After the current set of 20 something's boxing will probably struggle to attract a young audience because it's hidden away on pay tv and they will only get to see the big fights if they stream.
All well and saying eff off but boxing needs fans and unless you can attract new ones any sport struggles. With no Hatton, no Naz, no Benn or Eubank, no Bruno and no Cooper boxing will kill it's self in this country if promoters have your attitude.
People hate on Bob Arum but his undercards are shown FREE online giving his youngsters a massive potential audience more promoters should follow suit. Andy Ruiz Jr has certainly created a cult following thanks to those undercards and yet no one else seems to be following suit.
Wealth TV is $1 a month and in December showed 2 FOTY candidates that I know weren't shown over here. To follow your lead, your a mug if you missed Viloria v Marquez and Gonzalez v Estrada to watch allegedly.
Re: Allegedly channel £10 a month if u don't get it u are a mug
Each to their own, I pay a tenner a month for allegedly and I think it's well worth it.
However, I do think it's a shame that a lot of boxing is stuck away on a pay channel as it means that it doesn't get the exposure it needs.
