His record 47752 includes nc, nd, contest 26-03-1936 with Johnny Summers.
This was an exhibition between two old stagers as reported in "Boxing"april 1. 1936.

Basham took part in COUNTESS exhibitions bouts particularly when in the army and
this could account for him losing his punching power."Boxing" after his contest with
Gus Platts 31-05-1921 stated "Certain that if Johnny had retained but one half of the
hitting power over 7 years back Gus must have gone down" also stated "Johnny could
not squash a grape judging by the punching he displayed against Platts.

The Kings Trophy contests in 1918 that Basham had are included in his biography but are
included in the records of Joe Beckett.Bombardier Billy Wells.Augie Ratner. Jimmy Wilde Etc. Etc.
