Given the influx of new fighters to their stable Groves/Burns/Selby etc.
I was wondering if anyone knew the ins and outs (finances)of any of their deals.They have a good name for paying on time and being fair and i should imagine the likes of Froch/Brook are on a well deserved decent whack.Being first through the door and believing Eddie when he said he had big plans when he didnt really have a foot hold you'd imagine they were well looked after.Now though with a host of fighters all vying for position more shows to pay for higher level opponents demanding more to fight is it a one way street.Not gonna be able to pay everyone the big bucks if indeed he is.
Assuming Sky do not put all their eggs in one basket again as the general conscencious on here is its not really working out where will the money come to retain the stable?

I'd not lose any sleep over it to be honest.

They're savvy and wouldn't take on people they couldn't deliver fights for - and I'd be pretty sure that they would sit down with the broadcaster before making any arrangements for new signings.

Look at Yafai & Cardle - they have boxed every month since turning pro, and with the likes of Groves & Burns, they are already ready-made for big fights, which would draw ticket sales and viewers.

The home-grown UK fighters are getting regular fights, a big stage and money.

I know it all makes sense for the fighters and it's a blessing for the fans that Matchroom have done what they have when they have .

Get the impression bunny is waiting for the wheels to fall off the Matchroom gravy train sat on a big chair stroking a cat on his lap cackling.Fairplay to him if he is plotting can only be good for the sport.

sky will not have been impressed.If sky are for want of a better term underwriting signings to Matchroom surely too many nights like saturday will sour relations.

Would imagine deals are not as easily dissolved as they are signed and with more fighters comes more risk .Its one thing delivering fights but fighters need to deliver too.

If some are coming up short this have an effect on the broadcasters belief in the promoter and that will affect on his future promotions.

Not slagging Matchroom but Eddie might have to get rid of a few bad apples or risk the barrel new prospects and established names alike.

Or at least send that message out to kick certain people up the arse.

Hopefully its a sign that although Sky have an exclusive deal with Matchroom they are prepared to show more boxing.

Remember not so long ago they used to show boxing once a week and the occasional international card. Now we are twice a month if lucky.... and that includes prizefighter.

I hope this signing of championship quality fighters means more "proper" boxing and less prizefighters.

The thing is, it doesn't take long for things to go belly-up for a promoter.

Mick Hennessey was doing great until Carl Froch decided he's had enough and wanted out.
A month ago, Fwank W.arren had a pretty good stable.
A month ago, it looked like Maloney would take Price all the way to the world heavyweight championship.
72 hours ago, the future looked pretty bright for Tony Bellew.

It only takes Kessler to beat Froch, Brook to lose to Alexander next month, Bellew to lose to Chilemba in a rematch, and for Ricky Burns to finally agree to face Broner and suddenly Eddie's stable will lose its shine. Every honeymoon period comes to an end sooner or later.

Because we can. You as an individual have the right to financial privacy, limited companies do not. You know this, so why ask?

We are entitled to know maybe entitled the wrong term i am interested to know what Matchroom are paying now compared to when the stable was smaller.Thats all nothing sinister wonder if they are poss overstretching which in a down turn can be catastrophic for any business.
GOmez is prob right they are savvy and everything will be fine.
As suggested we contribute but also if it does go tits will the eggs all get smashed.Then where are we?
Getting out of a contract is fine if theres somewhere to go will bunny be back on his feet and feeling charitable doubt it.
