I may have missed references to this elsewhere, if so apologies but was there bad crowd trouble at the liverpool show ? I saw the crowd distracted as if trouble was kicked off, off-screen, and the "yes I am still alive" line makes the columbo in me wonder if things got a bit nasty ?

There was a bit during Mathews/Crolla; all of Anthony's supporters were in two areas on one side of the arena, during the early rounds there were the predictable Liverpool/Manchester chants but at the start of round six there were two blokes who took it a bit further and had a bit of fisticuffs in the stand. It was fairly quickly snuffed out but the Manchester lot were continually pelted with pints of beer throughout the rest of the fight.

Bit of handbags really for a boxing crowd but I imagine if you took kids and were sat nearby then it would have probably unnerved them a bit.

One guy jumped the barrier from the floor and swapped a few punches with one of the Mancs (well more than one), he was arrested/led away but right up in the back corner there was a huge exchange of pints that sent the scouse women scurrying for cover and protecting their curls. The security team sat on both sides for the remainder of the fight.

It was fairly innocuous stuff but pretty typical for an arena fight.

£4 for a pint and you lob it.

The recession clearly hasn't reached Liverpool!

It always makes me laugh when all the heads spin around and start watching the pissheads trading punches instead of the boxers they've paid to watch do it in front of them.

Are you sure it was beer...
If it wasn't then there must have been a few hundred fans who hasn't pissed for a fortnight.
