Fair play to them for getting the overseas big fights. It may be more a case of necessity though with their dwindling stable of late.

Even with all there problems allegedly is great for boxing in the UK.
Re: allegedly
Genuine question - how many new subscribers will be moved to open their wallets for Rocky Martinez v Diego Magdaleno or rigondeaux v donaire? They are fine additions that will please the existing subscriber base, but surely not the types of cards to attract new subs?MachoMan09 wrote:Grabbing up the overseas action is the way to go. Wouldn't Viloria v Estrada + Penalosa bros + Shiming be a bigger draw than the Martinez v Magdaleno bout?earsjohn wrote:Genuine question - how many new subscribers will be moved to open their wallets for Rocky Martinez v Diego Magdaleno or rigondeaux v donaire? Re: allegedly
The channel had a lot of doubters when it first came out (myself included) but you can't argue with the schedule now.
Fantastic that they've added Donaire v Rigondeaux and Alvarez v Trout, worth the monthly fee alone.
The only gripe is the picture quality. Rios v Alvarado was FOTY but the picture quality we received was like watching an old VHS tape.

Re: allegedly
Marginally perhaps. How many people are there in the UK who know who Brian Viloria is but don't already subscribe? And is there any proof that there will be an explosion in interest in Boxing in China on the back of Shiming?iamasadlittleboy wrote:Wouldn't Viloria v Estrada + Penalosa bros + Shiming be a bigger draw than the Martinez v Magdaleno bout?earsjohn wrote:Genuine question - how many new subscribers will be moved to open their wallets for Rocky Martinez v Diego Magdaleno or rigondeaux v donaire? Not many people would sign up for one or two events. It's about delivering value and quality for money. Remember there is no long term commitment. Sign up and you can cancel within 30 days. For example someone signing up to the channel tomorrow will be treated to a fine collection of events over their 30 days:earsjohn wrote:Genuine question - how many new subscribers will be moved to open their wallets for Rocky Martinez v Diego Magdaleno or rigondeaux v donaire? Saturday 6th - Zou Shiming v Eleazar Valenzuela
Saturday 6th - Brian Viloria v Juan Francisco Estrada
Saturday 6th - Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. v Yasutaka Ishimoto
Saturday 6th - Roman Martinez v Yasutaka Ishimoto
Friday 12th - Yaqub Kareem v Paul Butler
Saturday 13th - Nonito Donaire v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Saturday 20th - Nathan Cleverly v Robin Krasniqi
Saturday 20th - Dereck Chisora v Andrej Pala
Saturday 20th - Liam Walsh v Scott Harrison
Saturday 20th - Austin Trout v Saul "Canelo" Alvarez
Saturday 27th - Amir Khan v Julio Diaz
Saturday 27th - Deontay Wilder v Audley Harrison
Saturday 27th - Sergio Martinez v Martin Murray
Saturday 4th - Floyd Mayweather Jr. v Robert Guerrero
Saturday 4th - Abner Mares v Daniel Ponce de Leon
Saturday 4th - J'Leon Love v Gabriel Rosado
Plus expect Danny Garcia v Zab Judah and Juergen Braehmer v Tony Averlant to be shown on a delay. Wladimir Klitschko v Francesco Pianeta on the 4th May is reportedly in the works too. Put it this way, Boxrec have 7 male 5 star fights listed over the next 30 days. 6 of them will be on allegedly! That is a massive seal of approval, in terms of the quality of action on the channel, from Boxrec.

The channel is great for hardcore fan. Is there enough of them!

Re: allegedly
They can't be too outrageous. Remember when Premier Sports started broadcasting in 2009 it wasn't long until they where snapping up the rights to fights featuring Lucian Bute, Erik Morales, Shane Mosley and Felix Sturm.leforge wrote:Overseas fights will vary obvious they are getting lots last minute so they will be cheaper. The Dark Destroyer wrote:How much does buying the rights to fights cost? allegedly will probably have a set price in terms of their long term content deal with Golden Boy. It had been suggested that allegedly have been working on a similar deal with Top Rank. Signs of a long term deal are looking good, especially with all the recent confirmed Top Rank bills.
Re: allegedly
It's great they showing them but they need more uk fights as the channel only going to attract the hardcore for overseas fights! And judging from not all of us subscribe! How many on here are using streams?
Re: allegedly
With SKY Box Office charging £17.95 PPV for Wrestlemania, and suggestions that Froch Vs. Kessler II will be the same price, you totally can't argue with the value for money you get with allegedly.Final round wrote:

The great news is allegedly HD will be with us by September. Downside to this is expect to pay a couple of pounds more for the HD version.

Know what you are saying Mark but not watching Saul Alvarez v Austin Trout or Nonito Donaire v Rigondeaux live and having the option to record, just because you don't like the guy who owns the TV station, seems pretty fruitless.@markmcgee87 wrote:How many hardcore fans don't subscribe because they don't like Frank
