Young Llew Edwards

I was told by a cousin of my father's about twenty-five years ago, that 1931 Featherweight Australian champion "Young" Llew Edwards was somehow related to us. I was told his real name was Michael White and that he was born around 1912.

I have been unable to verify this and wondered if anyone here could point me to some authoritative source concerning the real identity of "Young" Llew Edwards.

I have found details of a relative who was born in Carlton named Lawrence White on 10 March 1912 and who died named Michael Lawrence White in Middle Park on 4 April 1975. Could this be Young Llew Edwards?

Any help with how to verify this would be gratefully received

I recently made contact with a niece of Michael Lawrence White mentioned above who confirmed that her uncle was indeed Young Llew Edwards. So consider this thread closed.
