I had a look at the excel website earlier. It looks like there are some onsite and local hotels.

http://www.excel-london.co.uk/excelv2/h ... otels.html

http://www.excel-london.co.uk/excelv2/h ... otels.html

I only had a look at Premier Travel Inn and its about £60 a night. It might be worth trying to get a flight to London City Airport. I know that from Manchester it is £100 to fly down on Friday and return Sunday. :TU:

Any idea on the capacity of the Excel...I reckon this is gonna sell out fast

Wrists didn't specify hotels in the subject line so I was looking in my black book for local prostitutes. What a waste of time....

There are several cheapish hotels about 10 minutes from Excel on the A406 at the Barking Junction just down the road from Beckton/A13 roundabout.

Places like Ibis are around £50-60 but for the real cheapskates there is Formule 1 for around £30 a night.

http://www.hotelformule1.com/formule1/f ... otel.shtml

They are all reasonably new places so should be ok.

* There is also an Ibis right outside Excel which is £55 for a single or £30 each for a double.

The Premier Travel Inn - usually £55 a night is where we usually stay on boxing piss ups. I believe easyjet have got cheap flights from Newcadtle although you will probably have to fly to Stanstead

have a word with me closer too.

If im going you are welcome to chill at mine til trains start etc, ill be having some kind of shin-dig til the early hours if we go so if you want you are welcome.

however ive got aobut 7 or 8 mates who have expressed an interest so if you are looking for a quiet restful night then best book a hotel, if however you fancy shits, giggles n japes you are welcome.

I'm not too sure whether I'm coming to this one. I seemed to be travelling for fornicating hours last time...and that was just in London.

12 THOUSAND TICKETS WONT BE A PROBLEM.

Ian you went to wembley last time and that was a fornicator to get back to.

Thats the other side of london this place is walkable at a push hahah

This is a max 20 quid cab ride (so five quid each) which I will book up door to door mate to take us there and pick us up.

The excel is max 6-7 miles from my place takes bout 30 mins if the traffic is bad.

I dont mess about on fight nights mate minimum hassle and maximum fun. :TU:

Warren said they can pack in 30,000 to which Audley's team's ears pricked up!, but then it was pointed out that out of that 10,000 wouldn't be able to see.

I am giving this one a miss, will watch it on the box instead. Skelton v McBride will be hideous, and given their history of injury/pullouts is there any guarantees Williams and/or Harrison will make it as far as the ring on fight night? Plus the views are shit at the Excel with all the seating at floor level.
