Limon did it all wrong,BUT man,was he entertaining. He had no defense, punched like he was in slow motion, bled, but he could win some fights. The war with the bomber Rolando Naverette. He was getting pummeled on his way to a sure loss, then unleashed one of those "super slow motion" combinations,(about a 12 punch combo)& stops Naverette. His see-saw wars with Bobby Chacon. The Boza slugfest. When he was defending the title he took from Naverette against the speedy "Chung Il Choi" getting hammered with one-twos,then lands those ridiculous looking slow-mo arm punches to the body, that has Choi down, rolling around, moaning, clinching his side.Limon fought everybody. And he looked hilarious at times, but he was one tough dude that sticks in mind.Boy was he entertaining,

Rafael "Bazooka" Limon
From what I've heard he didn't like training much either. But he was one of the toughest fighters I've seen, great chin, great punch and tremendous heart, ...a real warrior. His wars with Chacon, Boza, Navverette etc are amongst the best fights you can see. An oppoent would hit him with his best shots and Bazooka would stick his tongue out and hit him back!. One of the very few fighters who really seemed to get better the more he was hit!. The 4th fight between him and Chacon is my all time number one fight!...
