Sorry if this has been done - can't see it elsewhere.

Who would win out of Witter v Matt Hatton? And will it happen?

I thought Hatton was on the June 1st Coldwell bill. Maybe he is off that now.

Hi,

Yes, Matt has pulled from my June 1st show.
It's an injury he's had for a while, just isn't clearing up.
So he's going to have a couple months off and see how it goes. Definitely won't be boxing before September at the earliest.

Ricky should have taken that fight instead of the silly big fight.

He didn't do terrible last time out against the all new flying machine that can take anyone without getting hit back. Witter gets more flak than Danny williams FFS - give it up.

That's true Gavin gets way too much hype IMO the Allegedly commentary of his last fight was irritating. Hope the vassell fight gets made that will answer a lot of questions about how far he will go.

No one fights for it, so no mandatory defences and a lack of interest in going to purse bids for the vacant title, in what would probably be a tough fight against another prospect for most fighters in Scotland and it isn't worth the risk.

Martin Concepion instead of Luke blackledge??? Really? No disrespect to Martin whose a fine fighter but he's barely fought in the division and doesn't look to be in his prime.

Isn't Blackledge a light heavyweight?

He is fighting today for a couple of light heavyweight titles in Denmark.

Blackledge is a Super Middle usually avoided in the UK which is why he has had to go abroad for fights. Fielding pulled out against him at short notice about a year ago. He was supposed to fight another Danish Super Middle Magee stopped but he pulled out and was offered Skoglund at light heavy instead and took it.

Just looked at Concepcions record last few years he has been stopped by light middles( Rabchenko and Webb ) and Nick Blackwell at Middle so taking on Fielding at Super Middle looks very dangerous to me. Still not sold on Fielding just yet seems to have a good attitude though.

"Isn't worth the risk". I HATE this. It's what is wrong with boxing today. The fact that fans even are saying this is stupid. If a boxer believes he can win a fight.. He should prove that. Best fighting the best at all levels is what I want to see.

Is it worth losing an unbeaten record for a Scottish title?

I believe it is?? That's like saying is it worth the risk for any area title.. Scotland has a fair few "prospects" why not do things right.. There is about 6 at super featherweight.. They are not all going to get to British Title level so be good to go for best in your country

Most will get to British level before they start to fight other undefeated fighters though, the money on offer at area level isn't enough to justify the fight when if they lose, they start to become journeymen and it could cost them bigger paydays at a higher level.

Witter should retire. He's had an excellent career, no shame in packing it in now.
