Good luck to Corey. He has all the tools to outbox Selby.

Havent seen Selby fight, although i once heard from a pretty unreliable source once that Selby could stop Dib.
McConnell can box pretty handily, however lacks pop, is this a jump too far, too soon

Theres plenty of footage of Selby online. He is a good fighter. Good footwork and skills. Mcconnell is also good so its a close fight.
Corey has quicker hands which might make the diffrence.

Good on McConnell for taking the fight but Selby is way above his league at this point, Selby is pushing on world class. It's gonna be a one-sided beating.

Here's an interesting question, when was the last time an Aussie went over to Britain and won a commonwealth title? Im not having a pop, I think Capperello would hammer Tony Bellew and he was in a world title elliminater last week.

2005, Jackson Asiku won the Commonwealth Featherweight title. Prior to that it was back to a twelve month period in 1999-2000 when Mick O'Malley, Sam Soliman, Adam Watt & Nedal Hussein all won their titles in Britain.
Since 2005, Dale Westerman, Ben Crampton, Sam Colomban, Gairy St Clair, Mark Quon & Peter Mitrevski have all gone over there & lost their challenges.

Steve Aczel beat Maxie Smith for the title in UK in 1975, lost it to Tony Mundine at Blacktown in first defence.

As expected abit one sided, Interesting to hear that McConnell is one of Chris John's main sparring partners. That was little more than a sparring session for Selby, like I've said many a time World class.

Easy work for Selby. I think the predictions of a close fight were driven by Aussie bias.
