Zambia's greatest boxer Lottie Mwale has died aged 53 after fighting Parkinson's Disease for six years, a family spokesman said on Wednesday.

His title challenge against Matthew Saad Muhammad is well worth watching as well, he hit Matthew with every punch in the book for 3 rounds , before being beaten in the forth , Matthew caught him with a terrific punch.

looking at his record he beat Tony Sibson in a round , and Marvin Johnson on points in his 7th and 8th fights, shows what talent he had.

He was the first fighter ever managed by Wilfried Sauerland. It was Sauerland and Mickey Duff that promoted Mwale's debut. There were 70.000 spectators on the football stadium in Lusaka, Zambia

There will be a tribute to him on the november 12th Sauerland card,

That's sad to hear. I mainly remember Lotte for losing by two stunning KOs to Eddie Mustafa and Saad in his world title shots, after giving them both good fights while they lasted.
One was by one of the most brutal uppercuts I've ever seen - think it was the Saad fight?

Check his record - in only his 7th, 8th and 9th fights he was beating future world title challengers and champs.
The late George Francis managed him for his early career. He wrote how he persuaded Mickey Duff to put his young middleweight prospect Tony Sibson in with Mwale, insisting that Lotte was a feather fisted boxer.

Lotte then knocked Sibbo cold inside a round.

Yes think you're right - that's why George must've "assured" Duff that we was a light puncher! Only time that ever happened to Sibbo.

Seem to remember Tony started at LH, then moved down after the KO?

I wouldnt have fancied being Lottie, making my way out of Leicester that night. Sibbo's fans were tough.

Thats really sad... Lotte was a hell of a fighter... one of those whod be a world champion if he was fighting today. He must have had a particularly bad form of parkinsons as you can usually live for a long while with it.
