Not to forget the Tyson Fury/Steve Cunningham fight on Channel 5,although not domestic its still on the same time, thank god ive got Tivo,Allegedly for me
Re: saturday 20th April,, sky v Allegedly channel,, which card i
allegedly for me as I don't have Sky.
Re: saturday 20th April,, sky v Allegedly channel,, which card i
I like the Blackpool show, the Wembley show is a bit of an anticlimax compared to what was orignaly planned. If Clevs fight turns out to be quality it could have the edge and while Walsh -Harisson is mildy intersting,it is always abit sad to see someone dominated and beat in a fight he would of won with ease back in the day.Cardle-Hughes and Askin-Clarke are fun undercard fights and Selby is good watch
Re: saturday 20th April,, sky v Allegedly channel,, which card i

The duplication of shows is bizarre when viewing figures and advertising revenue is so important.
What amazes me is a few weeks ago when it was International Football week, there was a great oppurtunity for boxing with no Premiership or Championship football to compete with on Saturday. So what happened...there was one show in the whole of the UK and nothing on TV!!
Its crazy having 3 televised shows this weekend, it will just dilute the figures and starve the fan of any viewing on other weekends.

Yeah, it seems ridiculous that we have three top shows, all on the same night, on different channels.
But for those of us with TiVo, we can watch all three!

Just doing the sums -
Sky Sports - 7pm (red button) - 11.30pm
BN - 7pm - 12am
Channel 5 - 9.30pm - 11pm
BN - 2am - 5am
We are looking at about 14 hours of 'Live' boxing including interviews etc. with around 20 fights shown.
I'll record BN while watching Sky Sports HD from 7pm - 9.30pm, then go to Channel 5 HD for the Fury bill. Then back to finish the Sky card, then as much of the BN card before Alvarez v Trout!
The thing I don't want to hear is the results of the other fights, if say Cleverly gets KO'd or Fury gets beat. I had that feeling while watching the Audley Prizefighter win when the Sky team were shouting down their mic's - 'David Price has been knocked out in two rounds!!'. I was recording the Price fight to watch straight after :(
A mammoth night of boxing!

Thinking about it, if Fury wins early then you might be able to switch straight over to BN for the Cleverly fight. Might just work out.
Re: saturday 20th April,, sky v Allegedly channel,, which card i
Going to Blackpool & taping the others so as long as the missus doesnt want to sky+ any of her Saturday night drivel it looks like I will be watching the other 2 Sunday!

ABA finals also taking place on Saturday afternoon but not sure if any TV has picked up broadcasting rights yet.
Re: saturday 20th April,, sky v Allegedly channel,, which card i
I'll be in Sheffield watching the snooker, but hope to catch Tyson Fury in my hotel room. I wonder if they send beer up on room service?
Re: saturday 20th April,, sky v Allegedly channel,, which card i
Are these the confirmed times...... worryingly allegedly are not reporting live boxing on the Sky EPG yet. Is it confirmed that there is a red button show on Sky at 7.ScottDetonator wrote:Just doing the sums -

All the confirmed times Stu, yeah.
Not 100% on start time of red button on Sky but it is happening, might even be a 6.30pm start.

He's a big guy, if he's in your hotel room you will probably catch him. Why you would want to is another matter!ILikeBeer wrote:I'll be in Sheffield watching the snooker, but hope to catch Tyson Fury in my hotel room. I wonder if they send beer up on room service?

Re: saturday 20th April,, sky v Allegedly channel,, which card i
I think the Sky card could be quality - a lot of 50/50, 60/40 fights. Fury - Cunningham is interesting on 5 but not too bothered about the Cleverley and Walsh fights. I've lost the buzz with Cleverley, forgotten what he looks like in a decent fight.
Re: saturday 20th April,, sky v Allegedly channel,, which card i
Was thinking i was going to be in bother as sky can only record 1 show while watching the other.
Then i remembered i had multi room. so i can watch 1 show, record the other 2 and even record ant and dec.
Take that virgin/tivo bitches

Will watch sky red button from the start. Possibly switch to C5 when that finishes, so I can record rest of sky. When Fury's fight finishes then watch the rest of the sky show I've recorded. Catch allegedly stuff online hopefully Sunday but more likely Monday at work

While we're discussing allegedly, does anyone use the iPad service at all? And if so, is it any good?
Re: saturday 20th April,, sky v Allegedly channel,, which card i
Not a lot to get excitied about on the Sky bill on Saturday night.
I'll be watching Fury live and recording the BN show. I'll catch Rose and Selby the following day.
